I'm not too sure. It all depends on how well they gel as a team. Surely the team which makes the least changes has an advantage to start with, since the teammates all know what each other are capable of.

New York Rangers will rule again some day!

Eventually, but they haven't been away from the front for too long. Teams like the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs need to come to providence soon.

Who do you predict to win the Stanley cup this year ?

I guess I will pick Detroit, Philly, Pittsburgh

I'm not liking Detroit's chances this year. I think (hope) the ducks will squeak into the playoffs. But by looking at rosters and stuff, the Pens have a great shot at it.

San Jose is performing well in the preseason, and they were great last season. I have high hopes for them.

Being a great pittsburgh fan I wish they would take it this year.
I still remember the good old days of pittsburgh with Jagr and Lemuix and even Barasso.

I have absoutely no idea. Give me a week or two of the season to mull it over and then I'll start predicting.

I get the feeling he's going to lead that team into a great new era. I'm excited for the team and for Wayne as well.

In that case welcome aboard. What's your take on the Gretzky taking control of the Coyotes behind the bench?

I don't know about it. They've gotten off to a rocky start over there in Phoenix.

I'm sure once they get everything settled the team will start to gel.

I'm expecting big things out of Doan and Hull.

Yeah probably. I still would've rather seen Gretzky as the new NHLPA Executive Director.

Teams never try in the pre-season anyway. They try out new line combos and new tactics. Don't forget, they have some new rules to get used to (incidentally, did anyone see Marty Brodeur making those 'Hail Mary' passes out of his zone almost to the offensive blueline? This is going to give him so many assists this year.) The coyotes will be a great team to watch, as flamboyant as the Great One and as fun to watch as any other.

I would like to join this fine club. My favorite team is the New York Islanders(As I live one county away from Nassau and they are the Long Island team).

Welcome friend. You guys have made some interesting deals, bringing Mike York back to New York, but the white side this time and getting rid of Mike Peca (overrated) The best move is the installation of mammoth facial hair by Trent Hunter. That's one awesome beard.

well he had lost his playing ability. He might have the ability to couch a team, he did hang around with alot of coaches, when he was playing, and he may of learn a thing or two. So he maybe an alright coach.

If he looks like the devil, he's a little pale, plus his beard isn't very pointy...

Same with Ottawa, and they have more depth. They completely dominated most of their preseason games.

Yeah, but don't forget, some teams are trying to adjust to life with new teammates and experiment with the new rules and tactics. You can't read anything into it until we've seen a few games in the regular season.

You guys might be one of the most stable teams out there. I'll have to pay close attention to their fortunes. Incidentally, what was your preseason record?
