Had roughly 4 looped frames, but was still alright. Its been about 3 years since I made flash and I think I still make good reviews. I have about a 28% respond rate to my reviews and most of it is through pressing keys thoughtlessly until somehow it gains some constructive meaning. I like the idea how to try to benefit the reviews on this site. But to get alot of things into perspective you might realize that many people on this site are early teens without a middle school (junior high) diploma. I don't like the idea of clokcs, unless it incorporated action script in order to keep corresponding time to others' time zones along with the character. "Im a fussy audience" I assume this will get protected so that is why I choose to write such a long review. (NG is full of clock lovin' suckers) A good gradience and a looping BG were done smoothly at least with decent graphix. If it was your own character maybe with a real voice (or at least your voice synthesized) it would get a much better score. Though please remember if you make your own voice, pleeeeease compress the .wav file, because those are so fricking huge. And theres my review...YOUR POINT HAS BEEN MADE> :-p ~props~~peace~

Your point makes no sense.

Just because someone hasn't made a flash doesn't mean they can't tell how good it is. All you need to do that is a brain, eyes and ears. If someone points out a problem with your movie, the problem is still there whether the speaker has made Flash or not. Here's an analogy: Is Bush a perfect president? Your answer is probably "no", which suggests you think you have a right to criticize him despite having never been President yourself. And you're right. You probably have the intelligence necessary to recognize the flaws in his behavior, and those flaws still exist despite your never being President yourself.

I agree that reviewers often leave obnoxious and unhelpful reviews, but that doesn't mean you should ignore constructive criticism for illogical reasons. Please don't take this as a personal insult; it's just that people saying "You've never made flash so everything you say about it is wrong!" is one of my pet peeves.

you make a good point...

well what most of what you say is valid...however, i refuse to leave constructive criticism for people who purposely flood the portal with fecal quality flash (star syndicate). its because of thier idioticness that people leave bad reviews for beginners
