I think they actually turn LEFT for 400-600 miles. Turning right would be pointless, as you would meet with concrete walls.

The exception is of course the road circuits, where you turn both ways.

I remembered now. He's the car chief or something similar for the 43 of Petty Enterprises, with Bobby Labonte driving. Could be an interesting car this season.

I like the thing the Marty Smith wrote on the power rankings before Daytona this year. People hearing the words Stewart, Chilli Bowl and Injury assumed he was injured whilst eating.

But I think his method of celebrating is more 'racy' than kissing the bricks at Indy, not that I'm tryiong to take anything away from Dale Jarett.

Since it was on until 1.00 AM in the UK, I wasn't able to watch it live. There's about 25 laps to go, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson are in the mix. Dale Jr had raced from 42nd up to14th in a car which WAS NEVER A RACE WINNER.

I'll let you know tomorrow, when I find out myself.

Jimmie Johnson [>:(] won the race from Matt Kenseth in a green-white-checkered finish. Dale Earnhardt Junior was penalised on a final pit stop for speeding on entry and finished 29th, though his car was shockingly a top 15 effort.

That's NASCAR for you. Junior should have paid more attention to his tackometer and his pressure on the brake pedal than to the back of the car he followed in (which also go caught speeding)

Atlanta on Sunday. Can Carl Edwards become the first ever driver to threepeat at Atlanta? He swept last season in emphatic fashion, becoming the 10th driver to win back to back Atlanta races.

Expect a strong showing from Hendrick cars and Junior, along with the rest of team Roush.

Calm down, the cars will roll around to bristol soon enough. I can't wait for Darlington, to see if the seven rookies earn their stripes there :D

Its fun to watch the rookies spin out and get pissed off.

But seriously, do u think one of them will win the race?

I think that we should consider each race as it rolls around. Atlanta was rained off yesterday and so they wil re-run today (weather permitting)

Green flag is scheduled for 11.00 am, which is about 20 minutes away. If the weather co-operates with us, they should start racing at about 11.30. My TV Broadcast will be as-live but a few hours retrospective, since they want to be able to broadcast something else if the weather plays up.

VCR got me to about 100 laps to go. Robbie Gordon carving through the field was amazing to watch. Some really fast cars out there, including the Hendricks of Gordon, Johnson and Busch, the 20 of Smoke and Biff Tanner (Greg Biffle)

Kasey Kahne held off Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr to win in Atlanta. Fast cars were supplied by Robbie Gordon (tyre), Greg Biffle(tyre / engine, possibly fuel), Matt Kenseth (tyre), Carl Edwards (pit road crash) and Bobby Labonte (engine), but problems caused them to finish down the standings.

Jimmie Johnson is still riding high atop the standings, we need to get rid of him from there, though he did have his season worst finish of 6th

Why not? Kasey is a great driver and he deserves to make the chase (I expect a radically different chase field, maybe more than 10 this time if JJ doesn't run away with it.)

I would like Jimmie Johnson, if he weren't so arrogant. He had countless accidents last year and in every single post-race interview, they showed him the replay and he blamed the other driver, or something wrong with his car, but HE NEVER MADE A MISTAKE!

If he could occasionally put his hands up and say 'Yeah, that one was my fault' then I'd appreciate his talent more.

I'd still rather Jeff Gordon won, he's much nicer.

Hehe, you can't even spell it right :P Bristol is a great track, I love it when the racing rolls around to thunder valley. Short tracks need lots of skill to work on.

Louden and Martinsville when I play the NASCAR 06 game, because my average finish there is 1.0, but I just love Daytona (fast), Talledega (faster), Martinsville (paperclip) and Darlington (earn your stripes).

but there's only 3 short tracks in NASCAR now. Bristol, Martinsville and Richmond. Louden is a track which comes between the two, because it's about 1.5 miles long, but it has the characteristics of a short track.
