Only 5 in the Nextel Cup. Since only 2 of them can win the championship now and he sacked Kurt Busch, it looks slightly better.
That and he's going to ahve only 4 cars in 2008.
I call Tony Stewart for the championship. All he needs to do is keep it facing the right way.
can i join i wach every race on sunday and have deen a fan for a while
I have to agree that the way Stewart will win the Chase because of his consistently great runs. Johnson might have a chance..............I repeat, A chance.

Welcome, who is your favourite driver? What's your favourite track?
I love Martinsville and Louden, because they seem to be the only tracks I can win on in the Nascar 2006 game on the PS2. I do like the races at Talledega, because of the DEI / Hendrick battles there.

Agreed, but technically, Carl Edwards can win if Stewart finishes 43rd, Johnson finishes no higher than about 20th and Carl Wins the race.
i like jeff gordon he's sucking this season thought my favorit track is atlanta ..
Wow. What a thrilling race. I think with as many reservations as people had about the new Chase format, the past two seasons have shown how good it is for the sport.
So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we had the key...

At least he finished 11th this year. His team will make a nice rebound next season. Junior didn't finish too badly, but we need to start off well at Daytona.

Congratulations to Tony Stewart on winning his second title. Congratulations also to Carl Edwards, for finishing tied second (but 3rd, as he only had 4 wins, compared to the Biff's 6) in his first full season at cup level.

Not true. Nobody as experienced as Jr would use a drafting setup for somewhere like Martinsville, where the draft is useless. Yes, he is very good in the draft at placed like Daytona and Talladega, where the draft is paramount to sucess, but he doesn't always set his car up to use it.
His team will be a lot better next year, with Tony Eury Jr behind the scenes doing everything right, to put DEI back on the map.

Then why didn't you say so? We need members in this club, but you should at least be able to do the basics: Spelling (meant, not ment) Punctuation (There should be a comma between Know and the second I) and Grammar (Capital letters I, I and Daytona)
Other than that, you are correct when you say that. I'm already looking forward to the next season, so I'll have to put up with my Nascar 2006 game from EA sports. I wonder if I've got a chance at the truck series... 550 out of 1st with 5 races remaining. I'd say unlikely.
sorry i'm looking forward to talladega theres always a good race there

Well that's an age away. We've got the thunder of Daytona to look forward to in February, but I'm not going to know who's driving what car next year.
hmm, i never thought that there would be a nascar crew. Im all in, my favorite driver is Tony Stewart. Looks like no1 has been to this thread in a while tho. =(

It was the off season. Now the season is back on, we can try and drum up some support for the topic.

Welcome. No real need to ask who you are supporting then :P
I think that Jimmie Johnson didn't deserve to win yesterday. Chad Knaus cheated and the ultimate payoff was Jimmie winning the 500. I think that maybe Nascar should consider weight penalties or points standing penalties for him.
The other issue is Tony Stewart and his 'Agressive Driving' yesterday. Matt Kenseth could have won, but so could have Smoke. NASCAR needs to levy the same penalties for the initial driver error and the retaliation.
alright everybody, im back, too bad Earnhardt Jr didnt win yesterday... he either came in 5th or 6th. He stayed in the top 15 all day. The star of the race was really Stewart though, he kept coming back from the back of the pack, making about 3 comebacks.

8th. He lead the most laps, so let's start big picture racing :)
He stayed in the top 15 all day.
He dropped to 20th after an uncharacteristic mistake, when he got forced from the draft. He couldn't make it up, which was a shame.

Smoke would ahve won, if it weren't for the shenanegans with Kenseth in the 17. That was a stupid move to make, especially since he had been championing the 'safer driver' approach through speedweeks.
Kenseth capitalises on Biff's engine going boom, Jimmie Johnson retains the lead in the championship. Vegas Next.

Of course you can. Will we see smoke climbing fences this year? or will he find another novel way to celebrate?

not yet... im thinkin its not gonna be jr because he just hasnt been performing as id expect him too. hes definetly doing better than last year, but... hes been making too many mistakes up in front. like in daytona when he pulled out of the bottom a few times and fell back more than half the time... maybe.. hopefully a chevy guy will win. Im all set as long as its not gordon or johnson.

Well, since there's more than 1/2 the field full fo chevvys, you'd expect a chevvy winner, wouldn't you?
hey mind if i join?? my favorite driver is Jeff Gordon but it kinda sucks because he has hit a pretty big slump and is just now recovering from it so hope he gets over it soon
When life gives you lemons, be glad it didn't give you herpes.

I get the feeling that Jeff Gordon is going to be better this season, but not as good as Jimmie Johnson, as that seems to be where Hendrick is pouring his sponsorship dollars at the moment. Steve Letarte is a good crew chief and will giude the 24 back to Victory Lane. I like the way that Jeff Gordon is more humble than JJ. That's a big reason JJ dedicated the 500 to me.
yeah i think that the whole new crew chief thing for Jeff Gordon was a turning point for him because lumas was not doing much with him so now i guess he has a good crew cheif and will now start to win again and yeah i am a fan of every racer on the Hendrick team so there you go

Who is Robbie Lumis working for now? Isn't he part of the Joe Gibbs Racing 18 team now?
NASCAR is a waste of rubber, gasoline, and white trash sweat. Turning right for 200+ laps... Completely pointless...
