Don't see why not. I think the Devils will fall in the finals. Possibly to Montreal. Huet was stellar in his first start and carried the Canadiens into the playoffs since he took over the starting job.

If theodore can hold up I could see the Avs getting into the finals. But that's a big if. Otherwise, Dallas.

thats what I'm worried about too,I would have picked Montreal but they are a slight reason the Leafs did
not make it this year and I don't want to "jump bandwagons" after being against them in the season.

Once Gionta doesn't play well, they'll lose. I don't think they'll get passed the first round easily anyways, nevermind even making it to the second round.

Well, coming into the playoffs hot against a slumping team will do that for people's expectations. Especially with Jagr hurt. and Elias has been great since coming back from the hep.

I think so, since it's home field.
Plus, they got outplayed last game and I think they want to rebound from that.
Meh, i'm not making any promises. We looked a little sloppy, aside from our defence and Kipper. Plenty of shots on goal, but there were only a handful of great chances on Friday. Figures that a fluke would be the goal to go in.

Yeah, we were playing a little sloppy, but as usual our defence and of course Kipper were doing. We got good penalty kills also. So, yeah, Calgary will win game 2, alot though to do with home ice and other variants.

Also in the first flames game, Lupul rammed one off the post. I bet it's gonna go to game 7, and he'll kill himself for not smashing that one a half inch in the correct direction.

Why... Why most up bring that up :'(

Ottawa... is amazing. Tampa Bay has been scrambling the entire time. They just don't stop...

I'm still callin' a Tampa upset.

That was rather disappointing. 4-3 for Ducks. Man, are all of the series 1-1 now?

Phaneuf better start getting his sh*t together.
Sure he scored a goal but he also is 100% responsable for the 4 Ducks goal.

And whats with Ritche screwing up at the end there... all he had to do was tap it and BAM tied. I hope Sutter smacks them.

The Flames owned in the last 5 minutes... If they play to there full potential they should be able to get passed the Ducks but until they do for a full 60 minutes I'm going to be really worried.

Well, game 2 of the Avs and Stars series tonight. I'd like to think Colorado can take both of the road games, but a split of the first 2 helps us no end.

Looking forward to it.

Well, the Habs won it in double overtime. Good game. Now comes the crucial point in every series.

Game 3.

Statistically, whoever wins this game of a playoff series has gone on to win it. 4 series are tied at 1-1 (DET/EDM; CAL/ANA; NAS/SJS and OTT/TBL) and 4 teams take 2 game leads into their third series game (DAL/COL; CAR/MTL; NJD/NYR; BUF/PHI)

All over the next few days, the mist shall be raised and more will be made clear about these series.

Well for the Flyers' sake, lets hope the mist not only raises but enters the stratosphere and ionosphere because the've been playin piss poor lately, especially in last night's performance. The first game of the series I thought could've went either way as it was in Buffalo and the Flyers were dreadful in terms of being disciplined and not called for penalties (the game ended on a delayed call). But Esche was phenominal, putting up like 55 or so saves in the 3-2 Double-OT loss, and the Flyers just never got it done. And you could tell that he crashed after that game, giving up 5 goals in the first period. But then again, the Flyer's defense has been shoddy all year long and I can't place all the blame on Esche.

I'm wondering if The Flames are gonna pick their act up in this game. It's hard to tell though. It'll be close. Unless they actually try, and in that case, we will win.

Very poorly officiated game last night which my Wings lost in 2OT. Very irritating. Wings better get their shit together for game 4 or I will be even more fuming.

The Vancouver media layed into the coaching and playing staff for missing the playoffs. Someone had to go. (Maybe Naslund will be off back to Sweden soon too.)

The Red Wings took Game 4 tonight with a 4-2 win over the Oilers. The Wings head back to Detroit with the series knotted at 2 with Game 5 Saturday.

In other news, the Ottawa Senators followed up that 8-4 game by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 to move them to a 3-1 series lead. Ottawa is a game away from advancing to theEastern Conference semifinals. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks beat the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime to tie that series 2-2. In the final game of the night, the San Jose Sharks beat the Nashville Predators 5-4. That win puts the Sharks up 3 games to 1 and puts them a game away from advancing to the Western Semis.

This is the new website for Kevin 'Shaft' Weekes? Possibly Huggy Bear, with flares big enough to close up that awful 5-hole he has

I missed a game that good, now I'm depressed. Anyways I hope the Flames win tonight. Calgary needs another Stanley Cup soon.

Yeah, we do need this win, or I fear loss. I think we will win this one, one of the coaches better have told them to act like they want this win.

I am pissed of, almost all of the teams i picked in my pool are losing, or lost their series!
Detroit is behind, NY lost, Dallas lost, and Montreal is tied.

Gosh, I was pretty close on a few of those.

All eyes on Detroit tonight, can they really be beaten by an 8th seed? Time will tell.

Flames/Ducks is also on tap, flames could send Anaheim to the golf course early with a win at the pond.

I've just about been able to pick myself up off the floor after Saturday's epic goaltending performance from Jose Theodore. (Didn't think I'd be saying that this season)

50 saves giving us the win and the series 4-1. Probably San Jose next, but if the Ducks can squeeze through, we get to face them instead.
