Well gay Edmonton won. They will not win the cup. Nice call on that 'goal' for Oilers, Toronto you asswipes. Thanks alot you hosers. Now I'm gonna root for the Sabres because my buddy Ryan Miller, who I went to thee Michigan State with is a pimp and will help them win.

Considering that about 25,000 voters on NHL.com said 'Give Detroit the Cup' when the first round of the playoffs came around, we should give Edmonton some credit. It is certain that Detroit will not win the cup.

Edmonton are in the last 8 and they still have a chance to win

Avs just keep on rolling. Konowalchuk is back. As if they needed another good shutdown forward who can light the lamp and kill penalties.

Next to return, Svatos.

Avs for the cup.

Well, my Flyers played like shit the entire series and are now out of it. They never really got off to a good start in any game, being outscored 13-2 in the first period if I remember correctly. It's aggrivating because on paper at the beginning of the season everyone thought they had the best shot to win it. Unfortunately due to season ending injuries to players like Keith Primeau, and Kim Johnnson didn't help. Also the fact that they picked up Hatcher and Rathje, which seemed like a good move but in retrospect they played like crap all season and couldn't play the game as effectively under the new rules.

Don't worry, you won't be alone.

After tonight, either Bryce or myself will come in here with the same sort of musings.

(

At least if you win you get to play edmonton, nobody in here like them.

If I win, it's Coop.

Well the Flames really topped that one off. By playing the WORST game ever. I mean seriously, it's like the players were trying to fuck up and be bad. WTF, the only player on the WHOLE team that was trying in Game 7 was fucking Kipper. I don't know what happened but nothing changed throughout each period, or if it did, we just got worse and worse. There goes my team.

Calgary played tough. They really came out in the first period.
True, the Ducks took the second period, but the Flames came out with an edge in the third. It was a hardfought series.

I look forward to watching Ducks/Avs. As I'm sure coop is as well.

Flames Choked.
No Effort, No Heart... Fuck 'em.

Hopefully Sutter address our offensive issues and we can make a better run next year.

Flames in '07!

Ottawa will choke.
Buffalo will expose Emery who will collapse under the pressure of a tight series.
San Jose in 6
Edmonton has to relize that Detroit is just a weak playoff team.
Thorton and Cheechoo plus Marleau will slap the Oilers silly. I expect Roloson to get lit up by them and lose all his confidence.
Anahiem in 5
Avs are nothing aslong as they have Theodore in net.
Don't let the Dalls series fool you. All but one game went to overtime and both goalies were terrible. Anahiem will destroy them

East Final:
New Jersey vs. Buffalo

West Final:
Anahiem vs. San Jose

That's a good breakdown, but the Canes won 4 straight. Gerber was terrible and Ward has sparkled.

Oh ya!
Hahaha... I completly forgot about the 4 straight wins...
Talk about a brainfart. Maybe it's the Flames withdrawl.

TBH, Gooch, I was shitting myself thinking that the Avs would have to play the Sharks. In the Conference finals, you've got to beat the best, so if we have to get past you there, then so be it.

Very much so. I'm off to the supermarket after work to get lots of alcohol and pringles for those all nighters coming up :)

As for my predictions, read about it in the Playopof thread in general, I can't be arsed to analyse so early in the morning.

Wow, the Avs sucked balls over the weekend. we've conceded 8 goals and been shut out twice.

Oh, to return to Denver (and marginally better fortune)

I really do hate the Ducks, for what they did to my non-enthusiastic Flames team. But nonetheless, I have feeling they will go far, very possible to the cup final. They have been dominating. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

I think the ducks recent play has just MADE them look non enthusiastic. Because if you look at the offensive team that is the Avs, and they have only managed to fire off 22 or so shots are the Ducks goalie. All facets of the team are going right now.

My predictions are San Jose Vs Ottawa in the finals. Right now Ottawa is the strongest game and blew Tampa Bay right out of the play offs. Now they just need to get out Buffalo which shouldn't be a problem. How the hell are Anahiem beating Colorado. I mean they beat Calgary some way, but Colorado has Sakic and Theodore. They need to get back on top.

Theodore is one of the reasons the Ducks are winning. In the first game they put 5 goals behind him.

Plus, they're playing near-perfect hockey. I strongly feel that they can contend with San Jose, since they have plenty of players that can contain. They aren't a team with just 1 shutdown line, they can put together a few. Plus, The Ducks young guys are flying, they're leading the league in rookie scoring thus far in the playoffs.

I think it's safe to say Calgary is a much stronger team then Colorado. I'm thinking that the Flames will be the only tough series the Ducks will have until the Finals.

Oh and Buffalo is a very good team and are currently leading the Sens 2-0.

Everyone with a lead is winning 2-0. A little odd, since the first round was just oozing with splits.
Ah well. Ducks/Avs tomorrow, Bryz need only stop the pucks for 2 more periods to capture the shutout streak record.

Well, they say the Home Ice makes all the difference. I really hope so, because we need to get on the scoresheet. Of course, we need to win as well, but we can't win if we don't get on the scoresheet first.

Too many variables still left. We can't speculate properly about the finals until we reach the two conference championship series.

Though most people are speculating about a Ducks / Sharks West final and a Sabres / Canes East final, I think there will be more than just four sweeps to tell this round.

If it's almost the worst in the league, I'd say Washington or Pittsburgh. From the west, maybe Chicago or Columbus

You got it Pittsburgh. I think if they ever get a decent coach they can make it to the playoffs again. Both of their farm teams made it to the playoffs ,so that shows that they have a good roster of players that can take them to the playoffs

But they are one of the worst teams, that is pretty much impossible for them to get back to the top.
