The sun comes in like
A thieving thief! In the night,
And steals my darkness
In the beginning
There was nothing but darkness.
I was good with that.
But some deity
then proclaimed "Let there be Light",
and messed it all up.
Now that I can see
The truth of all around me,
I hide in shadows.
Safely in darkness,
Where most mortals fear to tread,
I prepare for war.
It wasn't my choice;
I was here first, and as such,
I will be here last.
It's a waiting game;
All light, no matter how bright,
one day fades away.

First of all, I must
compliment you on how well
crafted your work is.
The origin of
mankind is in darkness - the

But light is as the
future: a chance to advance
ideas, tales, truth.

I still like my job,
Though now have daily headaches,
One of the draw backs.

Very nice indeed!
That is why we fight our greed
To make life so free
To make poetry
Lines sometimes enlighten me
Keep my mind off sleep
Summer days, rainy
Grays, wondering why I breathe
See the light in each
And every strange place
Flee dreams and delve right into

Yes! True bliss exists!
It drifts through thick mists rich in,
Uplifting things. Zing.
Perpetual bliss
Is a faithless dream obtained
By true ignorance.
The hollow tirade
Spoken by our new leader
Fans the flames of bliss.
Pretty words deluge
The ears of the blind faithful,
hearing what they want.
Rhetoric replaces
The need for facts and substance;
Makes them all feel good.
Anger without cause,
Ignorance now flourishes
In half of our land.
They all will follow
The hollow man's vacant words
Blindly and faithfully.
If we're not careful,
History is repeated-

My apologies;
It was not my intention
To hijack this forum.
I just tend to write
about what I feel deep inside;
It is cathartic.
Lately I'm gloomy,
With all that swirls around me;
Winter chills my heart.
I know there's goodness
Out in the world, in the light -
Just can't see it yet.
But I will say this:
I know that in this forum
I am among friends.
And that is enough
To keep me going each day;
For that, I thank you.

I have history
On repeat. It was better.
Then, I think. Sometimes.
Then I realize
I remember only the
Goods. So maybe not.
Up early today
So early the morning sun
Hasn't yet happened
The world is a haze
Gray and full of doubt, surreal
And morning beauty
Frost like new snowfall
Birds stir, words stir, first light creeps
Think I'll fall asleep
The sun glares at me,
A bright, cheerful happy face.
Time to go to bed.
Twentyfive to life
It's the twentyfith, and still
I live! Not too bad
Smile and the world will!
So brightly you'll have to squint
Sunshine and rainbows
When I am smiling,
It means that I am happy
With my evil plans...
What's running today?
My ideas are running out
I should run out too
A scepter of joy
A guillotine of madness
Happy happy thoughts
All is connected;
For every win, there is a loss.
All is in balance.
When one is lucky,
It means some where, some one else
Has found misfortune.
The tides ebb and flow;
Float in high waves and deep troughs,
But getting no where.
I say Congrats to!
All those Kong rats who flee my
Bigot monkey boots
It's all connected
The truth, and the subjective
It's all connected
When you build a wall
To keep your enemies out,
You think you are safe.
You don't realize
You have imprisoned yourself
With your deadly foe.
The seeds of vengeance
Were planted some time ago,
Waiting for fertile soil.
While looking outward,
Focused, waiting for a breach,
You don't see it coming.
From familiar streets,
Your foe springs from the shadows,
Striking from behind.
And those you locked out
Can only watch in dark despair
As you bleed to death.

Loafing around the
Surround sound system waiting
For groovier tunes
Groovier times are
Just around the grove! Like a
Seventies movie
The world is a hope
Less we make it otherwise
The world is a hope
I strike a poser,
Then I strike the pose myself,
It's all about strikes.
Strike and counter strike,
Trading words and trading blows
Until no one wins.
