Borderline boredom
Is never a problem when
Your life is a game
Borderline boredom
Is never a problem when
Your life is a game
In this game called life,
I refuse to let others
push their rules on me.
I reserve the right
To make my own decisions
for my life, my way.
The rules of the fool
Are meaningless to the wise,
Best to be ignored.
I play D & D
The same as I play my life:
Chaotic evil.
Dandy D & D!
A handy brand, hammering
Minions of evil
I wish justice was
As easy in life, as in
All those games we play
Right and wrong as clear.
Wisdom you can level with
Each diligent step
The world is easy
With simple rules, made to make
Most of every wake
Hickory mattress
Fern rows that burn slow, in the
Hazy sun now set
Time slips on snowy
walkways. Facebook feed. Mis-step.
Pain like a gunshot.

The cold outside glows
Bright winter light, moonshine high
Trees topped with silver
Cold, dull steel morning;
The sun hides behind grey clouds,
Selfishly distant.
The sun's burning rage
tries to erase a mirror
of light. Brusque failure.
"Time's fun when you're having flies." ~Kermit the Frog
Shellfish defiant
Wont yield even with shield down
Force field come on off
Winter's bitter breath
Chills me to my very soul,
No warmth to be found.

Tomorrow's low is
negative one. My room has
a draft. Flannel wins.

The days whisk away
In whispers of gray and dusk
Like rug rats, routine
I remember the
Good old days, when days were not
Good or old, just days
A timid being
Not leaping, shouting, playing
In water fountains
Sometimes feel a need
To do something impulsive
Like that! But instead
I'm looking forward
And looking back, at my past
And at consequence
Stray thoughts ricochet
Like parabellum bullets
In parallel lives
Infinite ideas
Flow through like rushing water,
Blink, and you miss them.
A nap, a doze off,
A flutter of the eyelids
And ideas roam free
Endless streams - a sea!
An endless blue and yet, we
Wake up and forget.
A day well wasted
Staring at a screen for hours
I'm not complaining

Did I just wake up
From my dream? Or did I start
A new one just now?
Let sleeping sleepers
Lie asleep - do not wake them!
With the beep. Snooze on.
When one gets older,
Sleep is a waste of your time;
Every hour counts!
Knee deep in DooM rooms
Time disappears, forget my
Haikus for a day
I took a step once
And ended up somewhere strange
Don't know where it was
They say watch your step
But steps aren't that fun to watch
So I watch others
And time runs away
So I watch my watch, and step
With a watcher's eye
Until I am lost
But I quite like it, life is
Full of surprises
Stranger tides have passed
Sailing without mast or rig
World is big and vast
Skewed the world is dude
I don't mean to be rude but
It's as humans do
A haiku a day,
Is never far away I
Wonder what I'll say...
When morning light greets!
And I'm up on light feet with
Eyes like grizzled clay...
Head full of ideas
Yet my body can't keep up!
My mind runs away...
Back into slumber
I fall and grow dumber, but
Sleep is not all
Waste, life is not all
Haste, how I spend my days is
Always to chase bliss
All infinity,
Contained in a brief moment,
is how we began.
Every particle
Of everything that is,
is all connected.
We are all the same,
Beyond race, beyond beliefs:
Cosmic brotherhood.
Idle days bend for
the future. Melted snow shows
the way down the street.

Early morning smile,
Because a smile is the best
Way to start a day
