But if it helps the league, it helps the league.

Here's the link. For the sake of decency, I couldn't call a defenseman an Orange-liner.

It's all for the good of the sport on TV. I think that the league needs good publicity and if they can improve people seeing the puck, then that's all for the good.

Your abousalutely rite man the players and owners should come up with a good deal that will benefit both partys and maybe we will see a 05/06 season of hockey

When was the last time either of those clubs won a Stanley Cup? 1983 with the Islanders and 1993 was the year Melrose took the Kings to the finals, but failed to achieve the holy grail.

I don't really hold up your chances of winning it all in the near future either.

wrong The Montreal Canadiens won it 5 times in a row, 1956-60. The Islanders only won it 4 times in a row, 1980-83.

I will conceed that they are still better than the Maple Leafs, because my little brother supports them.

But the Kings on the other hand, who haven't won the cup yet... I'd still say Toronto are better.

Have the Islanders been around long enough for that? I'd have thought that was another Canadien tradition.

Who are the other two teams? I guess it would be the Canadiens and probably one of the original six teams. My guess is the Maple Leafs.

You and me both. Are you watching the NCAA and AHL?

Go Devils!

They're good, but not the best. (I love slating other teams.) You have got one really good player: Martin Brodeur. Other than that, you're average.

Okay, massive subject change: Before the 04-05 season was cancelled, I'd have put money on the Lightning repeating their success of 03-04. Who do you think has the best team at the moment? I seroiusly have no clues whatsoever.

I'd have never guessed the Hawks. They are in one of the biggest slumps of all time, reaching the playoffs wise, aren't they?

The Blues, another team I've always seen as a regular also ran. They never seem to be able to get the mix right for a serious run at the cup, even though they can get hold of some of the best players in the game (Gretzky, Hull, to name but a few)

They've made it to the playoffs more times in a row than anyone else, right?

In regards to your onther question I think San Jose, Phoenix and Detroit have good teams as well. Phoenix picked up Brett Hull recently and some others. San Jose has an awesome young defense and all they can do is get better. Detroit has good young talent as well.

Another team to watch out for is the Penguins, they picked up Recchi(i think) and Joe Thibault, an excellent goaltender.

Great experience with Hull, plus some good talent

Recci is a good player (Potential unfulfilled) and Thibaut has a decent record. I think the Rangers have the talent to finally do stuff. Don't forget the Stars and the Avs, also
