Well, the Wings pulled an upset tonight in Calgary and beat the Flames 4-2. As for Colorado, im surprised. Im surprised, not because they won a game, but because of the fact that they probably will be eliminated in this round. As a die-hard Wings fan, I dislike to Ave's to the Nth degree, but I will admit that they have tremendous players on their team. I doubt that Calgary will beat the WIngs...but I have my doubts as to how theyll do against the Sharks.

Damn Detroit won....

Goodbye Montreal, Welcome to the Tampa Bay Lightning in next round. If we look how well the Canadiens played the last two games, it will be normally 2-2 in the serie. There is only one thing that is sure : they will not be identical next year. Seven free agents, 5 or 6 players who were in the line-up to sign and three to four top prospects waiting at Hamilton.

Next year, Montreal will play without Andreas Dackell, Pierre Dagenais, Stephane Quintal, Joe Juneau (probably retired), Niklas Sundstrom (there is no room for him anymore) and Karl Dykhuis. Darren Langdon and Jim Dowd will perhaps be signed, but it's not sure. They have to sign Alex Kovalev and Yanic Perreault, two players that can really help them.

Toronto won 3-1 against Philadelphia. What seemed a blowout by the Flyers after the two first games is going to be a seven game serie.

Maybe not. It could be that Detroit was first in the freaking league. I mean, jeez, even Pittsburgh could beat Detroit, right? Standings don't matter at all! /sarcasm
Don't give me that bullshit

C'mon, Detroit won the damn Presidents Trophy. Dont assume that Calgary is going to win simply because they made it past the first round in seven games. I really dont see the logic here.

Tomorrow is going to be a hell of a game by the way.

They will probably lose Forsberg and Selanne to european teams and Kariya is a free agent. In top of thant, Joe Sakic is not anymore Joe Sakic. He start to get old. They will lose the next game to San Jose anyway.

Forsberg has already said that the only way he's going to play in the European league is if there IS a lockout next season, but he'll come back the moment the lockout is through. As for Selanne and Kariya, fuck'em, they did so pathetic this year. I say get rid of them and give their spots on the roster to a couple of rookies who will actually try. It seems like since their pay roll dropped, so didnt their ambition to iwn the cup.

Well if it is so "impossible" for Calgary to win, then why didn't detroit sweep them... Why didn't detroit ever lead the series yet?

Well, if Calgary is totally going to pwn Detroit, why'd they barely make it through the first round, and why haven't they swept yet?

Could you please point out to me where in that post I said that it is "impossible" for Clagary to win? By saying that the Wings won the President Trophy I implied that your assumption, which is that Calgary will easily win the series, is not very logical. I never said that its impossible, instead I attacked your line of reasoning.

And Anyways, then why is calgary in a position to kick detroit out of the playoffs, huh?

Response to NHL Hockey Fan-Club 2004-05-01 20:12:39

Ya Baby!! 1-0 Flames! We lead the series 3-2!! I got tickets to game #6 were we are going to eliminate detroit!

No, no they're not. Detroit's gonna come back because they realize they're down again and get another win away. Then the flames will get eaten alive at the Joe, game 7. I was at the game today and it was ridiculous. Don't get a big ol boner just yet, because it aint over til it's over. Oh, and why the hell is Nieminen such a cheapshot, poor sport loser?

Response to NHL Hockey Fan-Club 2004-05-01 21:27:30

Even IF detroit wins in Calgary, which won't happen, Calgary has a winning record in the Joe anyways, so either way, Calgary has the advantage in every single aspect except experience.

The reason why Calgary barely made it through the first round is because of injuries. Not to mention Jovanovski is a loser, taking out Kipper to ruin his shut out. And the reason why we haven't swept Detroit is because detroit is actually a good team, unlike vancouver.

Dissing? Look at the biased up the ass people here, the kid who made this "club" is a Calgary fan, and there's like 3 other fans too. It's just like the media, all liberals who control what is "right" to them. And it stinks to high heaven.
