You bet! 4-4. Americans and Canadians don't always realize the level of rivalry in the games between Finalnd and Sweden. It's especially huge in tournaments like this one. The sad part is, the game is always the same. Finland takes the lead, owns the game until the last minute, and Sweden ties it up and sometimes even gets the winning goal. The same thing happened now. Only this time, we were lucky that tie was enough for us to win the pool. But it wouldn't have been too crazy to expect Sweden to get a goal during the overtime. I'm so happy they didn't.

I think that would be for the best. I'm sure there was a lot of stress with that goin on for the team, so maybe they'll play even better.

That's exactly the thing. It's happened a lot before...examples: Wiemer and V. Bure in Calgary...to much tension between players, so they just get rid of both
Lindros, Tocchet, Brindamour...the 'I-fooled-around-with-your-wife' dealy...a lot of tension...they keep the best player (Lindros and get rid of Tocchet and Brindamour...it happends everywhere...and that is basically the only way to rid of it.

They really better pick things up again if they want to win, especially playing against either Russia or USA....I mean if Germany came that close...I'd think Finland won't get that far...I'd hate to see them get booted out because they just weren't focused...not at that level...

That's basically it...Canada vs. Finland in the finals. I called that one way back when they released the rosters.

Personally I think it will Finland. Nothing gets passed Kipper.

I do think Canada's gonna have a tough game against Czech. There a good team (at least they played good in the quarters) and Canada just played Slovakia which has probably dropped there readyness down a bit and they'll get stunned by the czech's.

Crosby got one goal when he was 16 in the World Junior Hockey Championship, while Ovechkin was arguably the best player on the Russian team the year before, when he was 16. They won that year, too.

They aight taking about Ovechkin when they talk about Crosby.... they compare him with Gretzky! People are crazy... you can't possibly compare anyone with the Master Gretzky. His unique.... I won't agree about that fact ... never!!! Well not until the little Crosby Kid score 100goals in the season + playoff!!!
But don't get me wrong... the kid is talented. He's got potentiel... He could be a Lecavalier, he could also be a Alexandre d'aigle... but who knows... I just hope he'll be a good player.

Well...Crosby is good...but in a few years...I actually see him with a serious injury cause he'll try and do that tricky shit, but he'll figure out the hard way it won't work in the NHL. And well...for Ovechkin...I havne't realy seen him play a lot...so I won't say anything about him.
