You know who deserves a Stanley Cup? Lowry! After this year, the Flames can taste the cup still, so they are gonna be playing like it is the playoffs (considering if there is a season next year)

Favorite Player : Oliwa or Simon, to great powerforwards, unfortunatly Oliwa is in NJ again, but Simon was funny when he scored that one goal and jumped almost head first into the boards and almost fell. Donovan is great too, and don't forget Kipper. Players besides on the Flames...Nash...he is amazing, too bad he isn't with the Flames lol.

I have news on an NHL hockey game starring Wayne Gretzky.

Wayne Gretzky, the highest scoring player in the history of the NHL, will serve as the cover athlete and spokesman for a new game from the U.S. video game arm of Sony Corp, the company said on tuesday.

Sony computer entertainment of america said "Gretzky NHL 2005" would be out this fall for the Playstation 2.

The game was first announced as "NHL Faceoff 2005." After skipping a year, Sony brought hockey back to it's lineup this year with a new developer and a new design. A spokesman for 989 sports, Sony's sports division, said the company now considers the game essentially a new franchise.

Called "The Great One" for his scoring prowess, Gretzky retired in 1999 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of fame soon after. He is currently a partner with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL.

The new title will not be the first time Gretzky's name has graced a game, Midway Games inc . released a game in the late 1990's called "Wayne Gretzky's 3D hockey," and there were Gretzky titles on older platforms in the early 1990's as well.

Sony said Gretzky signed a three-year deal and will be involved in the game's development and promotion. Sony will also become the exclusive video game partner of the Wayne Gretzky foundation.

I'll pass on that. I remember Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hocket and it was horrible. I'd stick with my NHL series. NHL Faceoff is okay, but 989 studios is going down, they don't make anything good anymore. If they wanted the game done right, they should have gotten EA sports to do it.

This palce is dying again!!!!

Kipper abitration delayed due to personnal matters. Do you think this will be a positive or negative affect for Calgary's hopes to resigning him?

Did you ever play the NHL Hitz games? They're just like Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey.

What's wrong with arcade style hockey games?

It's to simple. I like NHL series...Faceoff is okay...but not as good. I can't put my finger on it, but the arcade style hockey just doesn't fit my hockey needs...air hockey and table hockey on the other hand...does

Yea okay whatever...I have no problem with that...as long as this place doesn't die, i'm happy.

Calgary resigned Leopold today, and I actually checked out the rosters for the WHA that might happen!! LOWRY IS THERE!!!! He will own all...But I noticed that Hamilton and Toronto is stacked and Quebec and Florida will suffer big time...just like in real life lol

Damphousse signed with Colorado? I didn't know that. But do you wanna know what was worse? The sharks trading Owen Nolan to the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2003 trade deadline.

Both players are good, but they are also getting really old...and they realize that..so they are making room for their young players, and Colorado isn't. Teams like Colorado and Detroit will be screwed in a few years.

They can afford to trade a lot of older players and get a few newers ones, though. They have a lot of money in both cities. I personally don't like Detroit, I don't know why...

Anyways, the WHA will be okay. Halifax's team looks decent, but the Ontario teams will own all.

I know...Toronto and Hamilton are stacked...but I'm happy cause Lowry is there though...can't remember which team, but it's good to see him still want to play...I guess he won't be retireing yet. And Same with Doug Gilmour

Yeah. I hope Ilich gets his ass in gear and starts planning ahead. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out...

It did...And I think it worked out for the better, they still have Cheechoo, Marleu, most of their keys guys...and not alot of age, so they will be good for years to come.

I agree, The Phoenix Coyotes had the best offseason. They managed to get Boyd Devereaux, Brett Hull, Petr Nedved, Sean O'Donnell, Dennis Gauthier, Oleg Saprykin, and Mike Ricci. Maybe they can get back the glory days from the WHA when they were the Winnipeg Jets.

But they can only play well when they have Forseberg....and he won't be playing. So they are screwed...but I think Canada, Finland and the Czechs will be the top 3.

Never put any blame on a Sutter. That family is so skilled hockey-wise. I think without Sutter, the Flames wouldn't have made it to the playoffs, let alone the Stanley Cup Final.

He isn't an Idiot. Think about it. The Flames have SO many defensemen...and Phaneuf coming up, they don't need Gauthier anymore. I knew thye would either not sign him or sign him and trade him. Saprykin..I was a bit surprised...but he hasn't been preforming like the Flames need him too...so in my mind...it works out really well for Calgary...and now we also have even more Offensive depth.
