Ok... I have to do a test.... If possible I would like to have as many answer as possible (to make a statistic)

I'm from Quebec so obviously people around me prefer quebec player.... but for everyone who's not in Qc (you guys) I got a question for ya.

Who's the best hockey player between

Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux

*It may look stupid but please... it's a test, answer it.

Lemieux.

He was a lot bigger and stronger. He could take the hits better than Gretzky. But I still think Orr destroys them both.

Response to NHL Hockey Fan-Club 2004-10-14 18:44:00

Well....good question....I say Lemieux.

Gretzky rarely got hit, which is why he never had injury problems. He always had a guardian around so no one would hit him. If he was still playing, even with his skills...he would get injured pretty quick. That is what is going to happen to Crosby (even though he is already hurt)

Lemieux though, was large and dug for the puck and made his own room. If Lemieux wasn't as physical or had someone even bigger around to do all the work, Lemieux probably could have easily taken the scoring leader title, cause he most likely wouldn't have as many injuries.

Gretzky is still really good though....so it's really quiet a toss up though

Don't jump that far ahead. Iggy is good, but we'll have to see if he can play a little more consistant though.

That brings up a question...who do you think will be the leaders of future Team Canada?

I say Iginla and Thorton

Response to NHL Hockey Fan-Club 2004-10-15 18:00:27

Iginla or Sakic will be.

If I don't see hockey by 2005 I'm goona shoot myself...Twice.

St. Louis definitely has potential to be a leader. Same with Thornton, and Lecavalier.

I heard somewhere that St. Louis can't buy pants that are big enough for him. I heard he has to get custom ones.. or cut the insides of the legs. His thighs must be f'ing massive! Considering he's wayyy less than six feet tall.

Hey Bertuzzi, Wanna do me a favour?

Remember when you made me that kick ass "Go Flames Go" sig? Can you change the "Go Flames Go" to "Bring Them Back"?

Here's the original sig:

Hmm, I don't think I can. Sorry man, but all my .PSD files got deleted a little while back. That means I can't edit the text properly..
Sorry again, haha. Damn, I knew I'd need them sometime.

St. Louis needs to prove that he isn't a one hit wonder before he becomes anything. He had one great year, but when the NHL starts up again, players are going to target him a lot more and a lot of players get eaten up by this. With his smaller size he will get pushed around a lot and it will have to be seen whether he can take additional, and at time excessive, abuse.

Lemieux is the more complete player, but career statistics have to play a factor. Gretzky dominates the record books. Lemieux would be right up there with Wayne if he had a full career, but he didn't. It's unfortunate, but it is a fact of life.

That's what happened to Iginla after that one huge year of 52goals. Then they covered his ass...but lucky he still performed, not as much, but still performed.

And I also say for future leaders, besides Iginla, Thorton, Marleu, St. Louis (Sakic is already a leader, i said future leader lol) and the rest that have been stated...I'd also say it is possible for Richards, Bouwmeester, Regher, Doan, Heatley, and even Smyth or Hannan if they can prove to be more reliable.
And I definatly see Nash coming into the picture in the near future if he can stay consistant.

OMg a WIngs lover?!?!? Cry with me brother! Cuz Scotty Bowman left us alone... cry with me brother too much people laught at the master Yzerman, cry with me cuz our Russian (Red) Line is over...
Cry with me brother cuz we won't have our Red WIngs this year. And worst, I'm afraid the WIngs won't be what they were for the past 12years (I'm watching them for the last 12years). Cuz the new damn oiwner rules suck hard! If team loose cash it's their problem! Salary aren't too high because of the players... it's more because there's people that paids them that high!! And on top of that, the Wings top3salary in the LNH makes money... yup they aren't loosing cash every damn year like the others... so fuck off about owners that loose money, they just don't know how to spend it.

I would've liked to see if San Jose continued there strong dominance of the Pacific like last year.

Yeah right...how about Calgary beating them in the playoffs?? hahaha
They are good though.

Anyways....stupid Gary Bettman, he says this is all tactical and crap like that...but it means NOTHING if they aren't even talking.

Okay, besides all of this that is going on...I have an idea to make the West and East more competitive. Move Pittisburg to Winnipeg, then have Detroit go to the Eastern conference. Makes sense. West would still have Colorado, Dallas, San Jose, and even Calgary or LA for the competition. Then on the East would have more, cause before they really only had New Jersey as a top team, until this year. In my mind, this would even the teams out a little more...

What about Toronto and Boston? They both have some high-end hockey players. You also can't leave out the champs from last year, Tampa Bay.
I think it'll be pretty even as it is...

He was a nice guy! He played for the Habs two years... and I hadthe chance to see him play. He was a very talented player... with Zubrus and Zetnik he've made some magic tricks the only him could think of.

God Bless Him

Rest In Peace Sergei....

Beautiful words, man. I never actually got to see him play in person, but he was such a great player, very underrated. One of the better two-way players in the league. It's just too bad to see something like this happen.

Indeed very underestimated player. He was like those underground war hero that you never actually hear from. It's a sad day for hockey... at his age... no one shoud die this young.
People usually thinks hockey player are in an other world... well they are human and they die like us... that's a very sad day for hockey.
