That's what happened to Iginla after that one huge year of 52goals. Then they covered his ass...but lucky he still performed, not as much, but still performed.
And I also say for future leaders, besides Iginla, Thorton, Marleu, St. Louis (Sakic is already a leader, i said future leader lol) and the rest that have been stated...I'd also say it is possible for Richards, Bouwmeester, Regher, Doan, Heatley, and even Smyth or Hannan if they can prove to be more reliable.
And I definatly see Nash coming into the picture in the near future if he can stay consistant.
