Meh
Good for people who want to learn how to make flash. Bad for people who want to blow up vipers and see naked slideshows.
Not blammable, but don't expect to be on the top 50 :)

Thank you. I'm just hoping that by doing this I can make the Portal a slightly better place by having people learn how to animate, rather than just sliding people around.
)
That was useful and well done. Not a 10 but definately a useful staple for Newgrounds. Good job.
I realize that, but I just hope that someone can learn something from this and make something slightly more decent than most of the crap that's on the portal.
well...
im not doing flash... o thinking about starting, but i if i woud this woud probaly help me! thx for the leason teacher
eh...
I've been using Flash for 3 years, not much help here. Basically what I tell people when making walking is to use keyframes and NOT motion tweens for the love of God. Of course, if they aren't the artistic type and don't know how people move their joints (you'd be surprised how many people don't seem to fuck it up) this would be useful. Still nothing amazing, and I think a 10 would be ridiculous.
Keyframes is definately the way to go. I draw each frame separately unless I've got a long walking loop, then I draw the frames for one complete step, then copy the frames. I still have to go back and move the guy into the correct position though.

make another tutorial like this please, but this time with 18 fps, its better for stick movies and its really helpfull. I tried this tutorial with my stick movie, and it was in 18 fps, wich is a large difference compared with 12 fps, wich is your default.
Greetings, and PLEASE DO,
