If it's suggestions you're looking for, you're in the right place. Personally, the reccomendations BBM (and others) give are better than, and more in-depth than most reccomendations I get from /a/, BakaBT, or Animebytes.
But, if you're looking for action, I'd reccomend Darker than Black. It's an excellent series, 10/10. But if you're like me and like super moe animu, check out titles like K-On!, Working!, or Mayo Chiki!

it seems all pat does these days is bitch about me not having watched bakemonogatari. Its on my todo list alright jeez.

What I am watching right now is Sora no woto, I really love it. People say it's like K-On in the army, and it kinda is to a degree (the characters all have their obvious parallels with the k-on cast, especially the MC who can't play an instrument but has more than enough enthusiasm and love for her friends to make up for it), but there's just so much more. Whereas in K-On there wasn't masses of substance beyond the direct issues of cake time and what-not, there's oodles here. The setting is so endlessly fascinating (rural france, but in a post-WW3 environment), and they tell you so little about it, just to emphasise the importance of the present not the past.

Either way yeah, I just watched felicity's episode (like 7 or so?), so very very good.
