I've seen lain already, but any other cyberpunk (90s or otherwise) anime I should check out. I got akira and GITS on my radar already.

You have a greater chance in life of experiencing the lazarus phenomenon (Being declared dead and then living again a short brief period later) than making some earth shattering masterpiece of a work.

It's got a fun set of art styles, a good sense of humour, and it wastes no time jumping into action.

What are people's opinion on magical girls?

Yay or Nay on watching Frieren?

I wanted to wait until the hype died down considering it got ridiculously high scores right out of gate for a manga that wasn't that well known before.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

@orangebomb

I haven't watched frieren and simply dont want to. The characters seems boring imo

I highly recommend "Delicious in Dungeon" by Ryoko Kui. It's funny, interesting world-building (not too heavy either) and the character designs are all 10/10

+The author draw very well and the anime is made by Studio Trigger :)

I've watched Delicious in Dunegon, and I've enjoyed it. I was worried at first when the DD anime was made by Trigger, considering their propensity for crude jokes and fondness for taking shortcuts, but so far the anime hasn't disappointed me yet.

(Here's hoping they don't pull a Promised Neverland or Tokyo Ghoul where the second season ruins everything)

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

It's one of those genres that get me a little divided at times for its conection with fantasy. I grew up watching Sailor Moon reruns, Jewelpets and that weird Powerpuff Girls anime that exists for some reason; outside of anime, I also saw a bunch of Winx, which at the time, my young mind thought it was too girly for me and ended up affecting my perception of the fantasy genre as a whole. Because of that, I skipped big trends at the time like Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia just because it was fantasy and I deep dived into sci-fi instead.

Years later, while looking for dark and disturbing animes, Madoka Magica showed up. I was confused but curious, and after watching, it became one of my favorite animes of all time. While I still show a bit of resistance towards fantasy until this day and prefer sci-fi, I feel like mahou shoujo tends to be ignored for being to shiny and colorful unless it uses that cute/depressing twist. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot that falls into that description, but not everything. I still wanna give a shot to some of them, 'cause there could be another one that blows me away on its own way, or just ends being charming and memorable.

I've been trying to find this anime movie for decades, but I remember so little. If anyone has a clue help me out here.

Okay the main character goes into a tall skyscraper building. He fights this enemy that has tentacles, this enemy can see the main protagonists 5 moves or so ahead of what he's going to do. The protagonist gets hit a lot and somehow ends up killing him with a shot in the head. I saw this when I was around 13 a long time ago. I believe it was an 80's manga movie.

Edit: Also the enemy was machine like, that's how he predicted the protagonists moves. You could see from the enemies perspective with cross hairs in some scenes. I believe he his head was human like.

What a long lasting forum eh. Anyways just here to say that Orb is one of the best new anime I've watched so far, that the new Sakamoto days has been very fun.

Since then the boy has journeyed to different location
