It's everything I want out of any sort of media. Flawless from start to finish.
It even accomplishes something few shows do, in that it lasts exactly as long as it should. I loved every minute of it, and when it was over I was totally content. Didn't want to see any more, that was enough. Whereas something like Kill la Kill I enjoyed less while watching, but wanted to see more of once it was done. Struggling to think of much else that manages it. Babylon 5 does if you ignore the shitty spin-off films and pretend it ended with Sleeping in Light, but can't think of any other ongoing series that do.
Guess I'm just a sucker for shameless macho nonsense. The whole theme of overcoming everything through sheer stubbornness really works for me. The entire show basically boils down to a series of encounters where a bad guy says "You can't do that thing because <sensible reasons>" and the heroes go "fuck you we don't care have some drills" and win anyway.

I don't think it's bad, just pretty good. I think I'd give it a solid 7 at this point, which on my list would place it next to the likes of R.O.D, Desert Punk, etc.

Lots of anime lasts just long enough without dragging. Actually, it's especially common with anime outside of those boring 100+ episode shonen. Most of my favorite anime series are 20 something or fewer. British shows seem to be the opposite where there should have been more.
Guess I'm just a sucker for shameless macho nonsense.
Me too. I mean Undisputed 2 and 3 are among my favorite movies of all time and probably approaching being among my most watched (though not there yet). If those aren't macho nonsense I don't know what is. To each their own, man. I just don't see how TTGL is THAT great. I'm liking it fine, though. It would be cool if they made a video game. Speaking of which, Soul Eater could be a pretty sweet fighting game. Also, you should check out Dead Leaves and possibly Redline. They have that over the top craziness. Also Blue Gender cuz Blue Gender is best mecha show.

Case Closed is such a damn fun show but there's way too much of it. 700+ episodes, 19 films, a bunch of OVAs, a whole load of other spinoffs and god knows what else. Some shounen series really go beyond flat out with that shit.

But the first theme was golden.

I can understand that sometimes it is good to change up a song. However, some anime/shows always keep the same theme.
Just got done with Shinsekai Yori
I really should've watched it when it was airing because then the suspense of the later episodes would've been even more palpable. Show is great though either way.

That last season was pretty underwhelming, though. Talk about going out with a whimper.

I'll think about it, ever since Crunchyroll starts streaming Ultraman Leo, you can guess where my priority is right now.

I finished Hellsing Ultimate and I was disappointed. It was okay, but it could of been so much better.
I like so much the anime "Parasyte" and Migi is very swaggy :3
My favorite anime is Death Note.
I am new around here in newgrounds forum. I play in NG since 2008 but I registered on forums this year.

To me, the only problem was that Alucard is way too OP. There's no point in watching him fight if you know he's just going to own everyone,
I totally agree. Sometimes they just make up reasons for him to win a battle.
Did you guys hear about Dragon Ball Xenoverse? Holy shit. I just now found out about it. I hope it doesn't suck
Also, you're wrong, Doc. Hellsing Ultimate is tits.

Has anyone else seen Desert punk? I literally just finished it a few days ago, and while the ending left me wanting more. I really liked it. I thought it was cool how the tune to the english and japanese openings are the same, with different lyrics.
I've put in the work and I think I'm almost there.
I've done hard work and rigor. I've risen through the ranks of the anime club from lowly pleb to nobleman status.

I felt the same way after I watched it. Definitely wanting more.
Greetings Anime club members.
I'm here to ask for some recommendations from you guys. I'm quite far from being a fan of anime; my interest in it peaked rather quickly as a teen, and didn't extend very far from whatever I'd find on television.
Having said that, I'm looking for something new to watch. Preferably, I'd like something that I can access online and don't have to buy. Honestly though, I'll take any recommendations you may have into consideration. So if there's anything you'd recommend a newbie like me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
The only anime I've really been able to continue enjoying into adulthood is Cowboy Be Bop. I fucking love that shit. Also, I always liked Yu Yu Hakusho -- I just recently finished up rewatching the series online. I can name a dozen other shows, but I've never actually sat down to watch any of them. Instead, I'll leave it up to you guys to recommend me something great.
Thanks and happy holidays.

I would recommend Martian succesor nadesico. It takes the idea of the typical robot show and lampshades it to hell. It may not look all that great at first, but once you watch a few episodes you will be hooked. Berzerk is another good one, it's a dark fantasy anime that's gritty and rough.

I think you ought to be able to stream any anime you could ever want to watch. Anime is the easiest thing to watch online.
If you liked Cowboy Bebop, perhaps you'd like Samurai Champloo, Darker Than Black, Baccano, Black Lagoon, Kemonozume, Michiko to Hatchin, Redline, Outlaw Star or Trigun. What else do you like?

Just a quick question: what's the worst anime that you know of?
For me, it would have to be either Mars of Destruction, Robot Girls Z, or Boku no Pico (never seen this one but I heard it was terrible). A lot of people say School Days is the worst anime ever, but I think the ones I mentioned are even worse.
That I've actually watched, Pokemon, Inuyasha, Naruto, Mars of Destruction and Vampire Wars.
School Days was one of the worst animes I have ever seen.

Ranma 1/2 turned me off anime for near to a decade, so there's that.
Was never into it and knew someone who kept going on about how great anime was, and told me to watch that, and it was rubbish.
Can barely remember it now. Can't recall what it was exactly that turned me against it, but since it soured me on a whole medium that has to be worth something. Might have just been that it was presented to me as the peak of what anime had to offer, so when it didn't deliver I wrote off the rest with it.

It's because of him, Otome and Kotonoha are among the few who weren't related to Makoto. Ever wonder why Makoto and Sekai has the same hair? His dad boned her mom.

Mars of Destruction was legitimately awful (though it's kind of one you have to see) and the anime of School Days is deeply flawed in more ways than just the premise, (the plot is only the tip of the iceberg) but the worst anime that I know of is a tie between Psychic Wars and Green Green. At least Green Green had some sort of story, but they fucked up everything else in the process, Psychic Wars is essentially a bad rip off of Doctor Who and any Shonen story, and while the English dub was atrocious, (even by early 90's standards) the original Japanese audio actually managed to be worse, probably because they knew it was awful, so they just decided to phone it in.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
