It's a stupid 4chan meme. Some kid thinks he's cool because he watched the Scientology flash and now knows of /b/'s existance.

Woah... why can't I do that kind of stuff? well i can't even finish a flash.....
But wow, he cut all the frames and made a cool animation with them..........
Now that's talent.

This without a doubt is the coolest animated short I've seen in quite some time. Check it out.
My Paper Mind
And just when you thought nothing else could be done with good ol' paper animation. This is pretty cool, I'd love to see a behind the scenes video besides just the pictures, I think I understand what's happening but I could be wrong - he's just moving each picture back and putting a new one in front right? That's some cool lighting then how it fades back into grey like that, does this guy have anything else online?
always behind schedule.

Tricky going to the site index! :P
He does some neat stuff, things like that it's good more because of the method than the product, even though the product does look cool in itself.

Haha yeah, it was kind of a rhetorical question just to seem interested, but now that I look around he does have some neat stuff. Even though he uses pretty unorthodox techniques, he's actually a pretty skilled animator, that paper swing in My Paper Mind was really well done and had a sweet effect.
always behind schedule.
I come here to post but the thing I wanna talk about is always at least a half a page old and therefore passe.
RE: Games v Animations
Actually, I generally rate games a bit harsher too since I'm borderline OCD when it comes to ironing out bugs. If a game has a noticeable bug in it then it'll annoy me much more than if an animation has the stage visible or something.
Wow, page 4. Did you guys get jobs or something?

I went to the Flash Portal this evening and scrolled down to the bottom to look at the past Daily Winners from this date. Totally forgetting that today is Leap Day, I was baffled why four years of content was missing from the list. But now it makes sense :).

Your Goals This Year
You know how in January you were all making these new goals for 2008? Who is keeping up with their objectives for the year?

I've been keeping up with my aim to read more. So far this year I've read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Nineteen Eighty-Four. I'm thinking of reading The Book of Dave next, unless anyone's got a better suggestion.
I want to look into buying "Your Inner Fish" It's about evolution and the way humans have devolped. also it has a lizard on the front cover
RE: Goals
I didnt make it a goal to tone down my drinking but I actually have ... same with smoking ... at the end of the year ill probably throw it in the bin of things i made a resolution for and made good on just to boost my ego and morale. Flash wise i am a little behind schedule

I suggest reading the book Flowers for Algernon, and reading anything Orson Scott Card has wrote, if you're into science fiction.
GotoAndPlay Movie
Anyone have movies that they've seen many times and dont mind seeing again no matter how many times you've seen em? I was watching Misery the other day and i thought to myself how weird it is that i can see it for the 923423th time and i still enjoy watching it.. like i know what happens and everything but im still frusterated by the character and stuff... Along came polly and Zoolander also have the same effect.

The Ender's series looks good, but 9 novels is gonna be expensive. =P I wanna read some of Isaac Asimov's stuff, but I'm not sure where to start. You read any of his stuff?
RE: GotoAndPlay Movie
I've seen My cousin Vinny countless times and it's still hilarious. Anyone who says Joe Pesci can't do comedy is a fool.
