Anyone have movies that they've seen many times and dont mind seeing again no matter how many times you've seen em? I was watching Misery the other day and i thought to myself how weird it is that i can see it for the 923423th time and i still enjoy watching it.. like i know what happens and everything but im still frusterated by the character and stuff... Along came polly and Zoolander also have the same effect.

There are a few films I could watch over and over (most of them I've seen like three to six times).

o Kill Bill (Volume 1 especially)
o Battle Royale
o Old Boy
o Shaolin Soccer
andKung Fu Hustle < both very enjoyable and re-watchable

Also the couple of Simon Pegg / Nick Frost / Edgar Wright films.

I should mention that movies you'd watch over and over dont mean that you should feel like they have to be some academy award type shit. I mention that because that question should not spark up some huge argument and back and forth like it always does anytime we bring up the subject of movies or music taste. A movie CAN be terrible yet still very rewatchable!

Shallow Hal... terrible movie.. but i just have to fucking watch it!!!!!!

Scary Movie 2 is also bad but i cant help myself...

Fun ways to pass time:

Read the wikipedia article on "quantum physics", then click every link you come across that you don't know what it is or if it sounds interesting. Repeat with those articles. If you get through an article, click "back" in the browser. Repeat until you can't go back any farther.

Fun way to pass about 36 hours.

Hmm sounds somewhat interesting. I doubt it will be entertaining for 36 hours though. I'll might try it with the term 'hooters'

Actually, I saw that at the cinema, It was definately the best film last year (well, if you count 2008 as the UK release for No Country for Old Men anyway). It's great that someone finally made a teen comedy with some intelligence and deep quality to it.

Actually has anyone seen 'juno'. The story is supposed to be supercute and the girl is adorable, but it still got heralded as oscar worthy by the critics. I'm kinda curious now

I saw Juno. It deserved an award. I wish it had gotten best Actress or something. But you should see it. I loved it. My gf actually saw it three times haha.

Eric Clapton
I went and saw him play with Winwood [I don't really know who this was]. Anyways, Eric Clapton was amazing and after seeing him, I could argue he is one of the best guitarists living today.

Am I the only person in the world that thought "Superbad" was just an okay movie? I mean, it had its moments, but I never laughed out loud and really didn't connect with it too much. I think the only part that made me giggle was at the end ..

SPOILER!!!

where the girl is riding the kid and says "I'm so wet" and he replies all nervously "Yeah, I heard that would happen in health class." Aside from that... the movie was just an alright movie in my eyes.

SPOILR OVR OMFG!!!!!111

On a side note, I went snowboarding down a real mountain for the first time ever on Wednesday.. and well.. I'll just let the picture tell you how it went.

Movies and how unboring they are for the 20th time

- HeavyWeights
- Kevin Smith Movies: Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, J&SB Strike Back, Clerks 2
- Indiana Jones Movies
- Batman Begins
- The Truman Show
- Fargo
- The Iron Giant
- A Bunch of skateboarding movies: Yeah Right!, Hot Chocolate, Fully Flared, Super Champion Funzone, etc.
- Dumb and Dumber (and various Jim Carrey movies)
- Ghostbusters 1 & 2
- The Shining
- Trainspotting
- Pixar Movies: Finding Nemo, Incredibles, Ratatouille, others

Plus I'm sure theres a few im forgetting, most of the movies are on the light-hearted side - comedies always seem to be more rewatchable but there's a handful of more serious movies I'd never get bored of.

always behind schedule.

gotoAndPlay Flash Movie/Game

Ok so we covered movies... now lets move into the portal... is there a flash animation or game that you can go back to and play regardless of wether you've seen it many times and or beat it in the case of a game?

I just watched pico's unloaded... it got me pumped for pico day. I also watched that story of khale.. i love the proportions of that character.. also 3 3ast 3 3urious and hobo washes balls in baby pool is good...
In terms of games... ill play that mr flacit's word search out of pure boredom at random times at work..

Generally if theres something I haven't seen in a while, I go back and watch it again. Not really anything in particular.

Superbad was a great movie, saw it at the cinema.

I saw no country for old men, and it's so awesome I wanna go see that at the cinema too (ahem) but my mates are pussies.. "no way, its a drama omg !!!!" >_< Seriously awesome movie.

Is There Will Be Blood any good? and how about semi-pro, a lot of people saying its just Will Ferrell stupid movie and it's not so funny, but Anchorman is my bible and all his films are uber1557.. so I'm off to see it anyway.

Sup, bitches :)

The Ender's series looks good, but 9 novels is gonna be expensive. =P I wanna read some of Isaac Asimov's stuff, but I'm not sure where to start. You read any of his stuff?

No, but I'll check some of them out. Just find a Library or something :P The Ender series is split into 2 different storylines, but I suggest you follow the Ender Series (Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, then Children of the Mind) first. I liked it much better then the Ender's Shadow series, even though they're both pretty good.

Have you ever tried skiing? It's a lot easier to keep your balance on skis than a snowboard.

Or you could keep practicing till you don't wipe out.

Or you could give up and take up knitting as a hobby.

Review deletion bitching

OK, now I'm sure as anything that this doesn't qualify as abusive:

Here's the original submission

And here's my review deletion notification:

This message is to inform you that the following review, which you left for The Magic of The 8 ball on 2/28/08 at 11:09:32 AM, has been deleted:

Short and possibly a little tactless - yes - but I was offering genuine advice. It's clear to anyone playing the game with any knowledge of scripting that the guy had just put a load of gotoAndStop() functions on different frames, which is neither the fairest nor most efficient way of coding his project. My suggestion that he look up real random functions would have genuinely helped him in future projects if he took it.

The only reasons I can think of why my review would have been flagged would be either that someone who doesn't know about scripting assumed it to be spam, or that for whistle point farmers anything giving less than a four out of ten is fair game (why even bother having the option to give lower scores?)

So yeah, if anyone can suggest why a review offering a constructive piece of advice and giving a score which reflects of opinion of the game deserved to be flagged, please enlighten me.

Aw, I totally want to see that :( The only person I know who actually likes decent, dramatic films has already been to see it with her dad (LAME), so I'm a little stuck unless I want to be a complete loser and see it on my own.
