Yeah, but CS3 is still compatible with AS2 if you set it to export with it. Its just with this file it seem tol be buggy because i changed the settings later on :(.

probs main reason there are so many collabs is cuz so many people now have BA's of 3+ due to the 'top 3 rated movie ave = ba' rule.. aswell as 10 authers.

so a n00b cna join 3 collabs get a great ba and think he can lead a collab base on smash bros just becuase he has a high BA, it's cheating really

if the BA was noncollab movies then the world of ng would change dramaticly...

but i gues alsong as people have a ba of 3+ and acutlly give out correct info for their 'collab' there will be collabs that drown the forums.. hel, some dont even finish

Nothing wrong with them imo. I think that they dont really get in the way, if your not in the collab you tend to ignore the threads. Threads requesting always get attention they need so its not really that bad..

And for your argument "oh its easier to get a higher ba now" i fully agree. Collabs should only be allowed to start with a ba of 3.3-4 or above. But i think the new way of working out ba's is better cause then i can keep up my old junk without it affecting my ba. Also its nice not to worry about submitting stuff just because it could lower your stats, its nice to submit small projects and without the change of rules i dont think i would have submitted some of my smaller/lower scoring flashes.

Well, Flash CS3 is compatible with wav, I just looked that up. And Im not running it in a another program either. Plus I highly doubt that every sound that I download is corrupt.

I think the BA for collabs should be raised on Newgrounds. There's a reason NGCollabs was made, and thats for people who DONT have a high enough BA. Still, any collab is going to help raise your BA.

Some collabs are great and amazing. Like the Speed of Sound collab, that blew my mind. However, collabs recently havent been my cup of tea. I used to be really big on collabs, but it was usually because I knew the person who started it.

Maybe the BA should go back to all flashes in general, instead of top 3. Oh well, I don't think the majority of NG will ever be satisfied. haha

Nah, most of those were started here on NG. In fact, only a few of them had links on NGC.

As for NGC being dead, we really can't control that. Inglor moves the board we had to Galacti servers from a business connection, but it appears that the Galacti Games people didn't feel like renewing their shit, so we got kicked offline. Right now, A lot of us are still staying in contact and the Mods and the Admins are trying (well, a few of us are, somewhat) to get a recent back up and then get it hosted somewhere else, somewhere more reliable.

We also ran into another problem; We were going to expand the site to encompass more things, but when talking to Tom, we began to see some things. NG is changing. The BBS is becoming a bit more hospitable (note: a very tiny bit), and at one point, Tom even said that NG is trying to facilitate collaborations, which really makjes our site obsolete. But the shame is that we have our own community. We don't have people posting "ZOMG RAPE HER LOLZ LURK MOAR!", and we don't have Luis and a lot of the other big names, but it was nice to have a place where even us little people felt important. I still think it sucks not having power now. I mean, I was just a mod, but a lot of people looked up to me an dasked me for help and advice. Plus, I could get on it from school.

Anyways, while I think collabs are good, it comes down to having only a few high-quality ones that have original concepts and are open to everyone. I mean, I'm running a collab (All NG Fads Die!!! 6!!!) and I'm going to stop after this. The idea isn't unique anymore, and people are getting fed up with it (SS ;3) Plus, I have a handfull of people doing it only because Logo isn';t running it, which means even if he does run an AFD7, he probably won't finish it.

Also, I have noticed that people like Godsondagger (who is "running" the Can't Reach The Screen collab) have been doing the underhanded "Get someone else to open the collab for you" manuver, which needs to be cockblocked.

Anyways, if NG is going to continue on with collabs, I think some more guidlines and rules need to be issued especially for this, just to regulate and keep thing rolling and kosher. What do you guys think?

some people have done about 7 collabs at once without relaseing or finished even one.. it's rediculous!

prehaps the best idea would be to have only a few people who are aloud to start AND run collabs? that'd lower the amont of shit they appears... if someone wants to start a collab they'd pm one of the 'Collab mods'(pff, we got review mods, why not..) and get to start it.

I don't think the awards part is a good idea because people like myself just never seem to be able to get one. Plus, what if they have the Turd of the Week or Underdog of the week. However, the 3.5 rule would be good because usually the first thing someone does when they get a 3.0 BA is start a collab. >.>

I guess Tom's line of reasoning for top three flashes = BA, was if someone originally made a bunch of crappy flashes and then made some more decent ones later on, the crappy ones wouldn't be attributed to their name. But most of the people starting crappy collabs have just barely breached the 3+ BA mark with a couple flashes. Overall, I think the system is pretty fair for the rest of us.

Batman, hands down. Second place is probably Punisher. I got a thing for the antiheroes.

The Punisher isn't really a hero either. He's more of a vigilante/bounty hunter/revenge seeker.

I am deffinitly going to say Spider-Man is my favourite Super Hero, I have a ton of rare comics that are original and in mint condition including the ultimate spiderman comic, the very first one, original, mint condition (I read it with gloves on : 0) "Amazing Fantasy: Introducing Spiderman". Then I have a nice collection of the works of Todd McFarlene.

Second favourite hero has to be Night Crawler, hes just so awsome, even if his name refers to worms... and bugs of the sort... it sounds cool.

I worked in a Fish + Chip shop last year when I was 16. When I was about 13 I worked in a Cafe on the seafront too but only as a summer job. Before that just paper rounds. I have the same feeling too, I should really get a job now. Gotta go ask about in all the Co-ops and Smiles and Tescos etc etc n see whats on offer.
