Honestly, I'm kinda the same way. I'm pretty random and obnoxious at times, but I have a very low self-esteem. So when I join in on a random conversation with my other friends, I feel left out...or that they might just look at me weird wondering "why the fuck is this kid here?" That's why I usually let others start a conversation. I'm not so good..at starting them.

yeah, i always get the feeling that my friends think i'm some obnoxious kid who's obsessed with computers and shit.

on the other hand, when i am listening to my music, i'm often thinking of things to do in flash involving the song i'm listening to. i have like, 5 ideas for music videos in my head because of various songs i listen to. :P

Rudy is a cool nickname.. my old nicknames have been racial slurs... although or or two people just called me P.. and even fewer called me 'italian stalion' ( cuz my name is italian)..

Flash trend/fads

There has always been one thing i dislike about the internet, if you make somehtign thats really successfull and make it into a series, there'll be hundreds of people who copy you but ruin your style and your series.. like madness, foamy and others..

Unless you do somehting so unique/amazing that no one can clone it... :s

Ever end up getting very lazy as you reach the end of a flash? even if it's just reusing stuff or just doing as little animation as posisble just to finish the mvoie and submit?

My school's janitors, secrataries and those people in that union have gone on strike and if they stay on strike long enough we get out of school because it won't be cleaned and documents won't be done or something. So we were gonna put some mouldy smamiches in corners to help the dirty process along but the teachers got these forms to sign...

Flash Breaks

I do the same things a lot. I always have something better to do but I just sometimes think of the end, when I'm done with the Flash and that motivates me. Wait, did you say it took you that long to make a stupid ORIGAMI CRANE?

Trend Setting

I don't usually start trends but I got one of my good friends who had a website entirely made in paint and hand-coded into flash, photoshop, and dreamweaver :D
I also started this thing where people roll up their sleeves to a little under their elbow, I'm not saying I invented the look but people started doing it when I did it constantly... lolz, only two things I've ever started, trend-wise.

The Last Straw

That happened with me once and only once, back when I had a lot of trouble at home and didn't have many friends, It was 6th grade, I was in gym after a rough day and some kid started saying how I could never catch up to him... I beat the shit out of him. I gained many friends after that one, lol. I moved from that city going into 8th grade though, and somehow I already had a bunch of friends before I moved there. Odd.

I definitely take flash breaks. I take breaks from being lazy to work on flash, :)

i sort of started a trend of guys having long hair...at least, at my high school, anyway. my hair's probably about 8 inches long (actually, just the bangs are), and more and more people have been growing their hair out after i got mine to this length. nobody will admit it, of course >:C if i were an ignorant jock, i'm sure that people would be saying they were jumping on the bandwagon, though.

Trend setting

ha yeah i just started a new job at liquid animation in my city making educational flash games and where i first rocked up everyone was sorta wearing shoes but i always wear thongs (um yeah i think that is a differnt meaning in the US, thongs in Australia are like.. flip flops or something, like sandles but just one strap over your big toe) anyway so after i week i just thought screw it im going to be comfortable and started wearing them to work everyday and now after almost a month at least 4 people are wearing them everyday to work now... also i think i started the trend of wearing them with jeans as well cause nobody seems to do that and at least 2 of them now are doing it :)

Breaks

I am sorta on a break now i guess... ever since uni started again and with work taking over i am doing 12 day weeks where i get every 2nd weekend off not to mention all the home work so its starting to annoy me i dont have enough free time to do what i enjoy and plus working as a flash developer you kinda get sick of it during the day and dont really want to come home and keep on "working" at home but still it would be nice to make some new games cause ive got a ton of ideas

Mother

has anyone tasted that new energy drink from coke called mother? I went to the launch of a new club in my city called the Australian National Hotel and they had free drinks from 9pm - 2am which was awesome i must have drunk about $150 worth of alcohol my head is great this morning! Anyway Coke and Mother were hosting the party (Work got me on the VIP list :D) cause it was a launch and it was invite only there was about 100-200 people there and we were having jager bombs all night but i gotta tell you im not a fan of the new drink.. it tastes like ginger beer or something the most similar thing i can think of is that Pepsi blue shit they had a while ago HA i got it for FREE and i still didnt want to have it... has anyone else tried it?

Trend Setting
I don't normally set trends but one of my friends can't say a phrase with out it being stolen. Some of his where "Get a job", "Grow a friend" and "Get out of my house". But people kept saying them and someone said that he stole it from the person who stole it from him, which pissed him off a lot.
I have noticed that I influenced two people to do Flash, one seems to have the patience of it and I think he'll become a programmer because he is lacking in artistic skill. The other one wants me to teach her on how to do everything but she doesn't have patience.
I was the first one at my school to be into Invader Zim and all that other Jhonen Vasquez stuff but I only know one other person at this school who knows what Z? is. All the other people act like they're the biggest fan because they downloaded all the episodes off LimeWire and keep quoting Gir, yet you mention Jhonen Vasquez to them and they have no idea what your talking about. This is considering that me and a few people have known of it for years, while they have just heard of it.

So I picked up guitarring a few weeks ago. I'm a huge beginner, but I've got down almost all of the major and minor chords. I've put together a few fun songs with chords and I can switch between chords well. Does anyone else play guitar, and if so, any tips for a newb?

Here's one- don't try playing country. When I first started (I quit a few months after), I played a crapload of country since it's the only books they had at my music store. I hated it. One thing I do suggest, though, is messing around with it a lot. It makes you sooo much better in the long run.

Oh god I hate his voice but yeah, capitals? That guy is forcing people to go about his way of things. He looks like he's on a 800 by 600 resolution monitor because when he zoomed out at 50% it took out a hefty chunk. Plus he keeps locking and unlocking layers, while forcing it upon you. I only lock them if they're in the way and have a mask on them, he also seems to want people to name movie clips with '_' and what not.
He also seems to be one of those people who makes tacky Flash applications involving numerous raster images.

My favorite Disney film is Pinnochio, because it's just coooll and cruel. I bought Toy Story for 50 pence, and that's pretty good too. I like watching films I haven't seen since being a kid.
Disney films are all pretty crazy and great to see as a kid. I'd like to see Fantasia again as I always saw it at my Uncles.

I think the best thing i've learnt so far was improvising. You can base anything of it, do anything with it and make some awesome shit in just a few minutes. Try learning about 4 scales of the same style (eg blues, rock etc) then piece all the notes together, and you'll definitely get something that sounds great.

But if you don't have an electric Guitar, i'd just try messing around with chords, and looking at some tabs on the net. Its a good instrument, the guitar. I like it anyway ;).
