I will personally deliver you a Double Double Animal Style at Comic Con next year.

I am not sure about you Europeans, but a lot of Americans have made fast food a twice daily adventure every day of the week. It's cheap, fast, and its tasty as hell for someone who likes fast food. Equivalently, we've had nearly one "our society is fat" documentary every other year for the past few years. People really bag on fast food here, but we somehow manage to be a huge consumer of fast food.

Is Europe the same way? I know there's Mc. Donalds and other fast food places over there, but I have a feel Europe might be heading towards the same fate as the United States over the next decade, if they haven't already.

RE: Fast Food

I like fast food. I usually go out to a fast food place about once a week. My favorites are Wendys, Burger King, Taco bell, and Subway. Though, I guess Subway doesn't really count as "fast" food.

RE: Fast Food

I dont think its as much as a big deal in Australia. Its still a big thing, but not as much as it is in America. Were not all farmers who ride Kangaroos, but we do get a fair bit of excercise. I always go grab a bite at Subway after a surf, because I went surfing and excercising on the beach, so it doesnt affect me much.

I think I would, just a lesser of bad fast foods. Problem rests in their little sauces and mayo, which can boost your fat content like crazy. I do like Subway for their daily $2.50 specials though. It nearly makes it cheaper than buying and making my own sandwiches.

RE: Fast Foods

Personally, I think that Subway is the best tasting fast food. Its so much better, its so warm when you bite into it. Anyways, I think if anything, you should eat subway more, its better tasting, and the same price, but not as fattening.

The costs help out too. 6 Dollars for a footlong with anything on it with a cookie and cola. Cant beat that really can you.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 00:34:39

RE: Fast Food

I'm entirely indifferent on the subject. Fast food is food and nothing more. I wouldn't consider it very tasty, but it's cheap and always there. I don't have it very often, but one of my two high schools is in the middle of an outlet mall with a good number of restaurants so yes, I do eat fast food.

RE: A very reggy collab

This idea sounds awesome, and I really do hope it gets off the ground. If we are to theme it, I think it would be pretty cool to have thus theme being the two teams fighting over the possession of flash itself. Which side will win? Who knows.

Power Outages

Oregon just went through a "huge wind storm" the last couple days and there were power outages. I live in the windiest place in the state where 30mph winds are considered summer breezes (you may think I'm kidding, but I am entirely not) so naturally all of our power lines are underground and we were fine. But other places in the state weren't so well off.

Anyone else in the middle of Power Outage season?

RE: Fast food

i loved fast food, BEFORE i actually whent to work at a fast food "restaurant". After working at Dairy Queen, i just lost all my taste for the stuff. Standards are so low in those kitchens, and i just dont trust the people making it.

So, for the past 2 years, the only fat food i have eaten is subway. And now that im on a deit, i dont even go there anymore. Ive lost 10 pounds so far, even though people keep telling my im not fat....im such a girl.

Kirk Leads
If you are willing to lead a group. Do everyone a favor and throw down some criteria.

Fast Food
At school the dining hall closes 8 mon-thurs, 7:30 friday, and 6:30 on sat-sun...if I want to stay awake a decent amount I'm kinda forced to order food. Its more or less fast food, yet takes over an hour to get here. I actually lost wait since this routine though...maybe because in the summer I eat fast food 5 days a week for lunch.

Either way, fast food twice a week a day is rare for me...even in the summer...still...I'm 6'1 and only 150lbs. I don't think its killing me.

My power was out from 7:20 last night to 5:00 tonight. Its never been this bad. By the way, I thought Portland and surrounding area were going to be out until tomorrow?

RE: Fast Food

Here, Subway footlong meals are $7.75.

Don't you find that expensive for a subway meal? I mean come on, it's like 3$ where I'm from. Crazy.

RE: Fast Food

You have to take into consideration with all the subway costs, that you can pack as much vegies and fruits on and meats as you wish. Here, fruits and vegies cost much more than cheese or any sides that come from KFC or anything.

Subway is the best I think, taste, ingredients, price everything makes it win.

It has been this bad, and worse before, just not recently, *cough*Columbus Day Storm*cough*. That storm was before my time, but power was out for a good week, and there were 100mph gusts.

By the way, I thought Portland and surrounding area were going to be out until tomorrow?

Some areas of Portland and Gresham did lose power last night and maybe more later; in fact the building I was in last night lost power so the meeting ended early. But that was in Gresham where all of the power lines are above ground and all of the trees have loose branches ready to throw at the ground.

Troutdale has been designed for wind though, so my power should be staying, or at least it had better >:U

RE: Regs Collab

Well I think if its all going ahead as planned. Actually, theres really no plans are there. Well someone with a decent amount of skill has to step up soon, and make another thread for the collab soon, and only let REGS in, otherwise, not much can really happen.

Definition of a Regular

Its hard to say what a flash forum regular is. I think some criteria could be established though. Basically you need to come on the forum often and try to have helpful posts in threads seeking it. You should probably have a post count of over 200 with at least 1 post per day on average. I don't know what else would be important to being a regular of the flash forum.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 03:32:32

RE: Reg definition

No, there is no definition. Its a stupid thing to debate. Leave it be. We've pissed Luis off enough in this thread, and i can see him being irratated by this, along with others.

Re:Reg Definition

Lol, I wasn't trying to be snobbish or anything else. I mean I hardly can say I know what the criteria is if there is any. I was only trying to reassure people that this isn't some elitist gathering.

Voting on Flash

Once I got to level 9, I decided I wasn't going to vote on flash like I used to. Well, even before I don't think I voted regularly. I usually just vote on the flashes I see that I really like (or are really popular but I dislike). I'm somewhat easily annoyed by bad submissions but tonight I tried to put that aside and voted on some Under Judgment flashes. Generally speaking they were all quite terrible. It was almost motivating, seeing how unpolished all the flashes were really made me want to submit something of my own. Just to see how well it would do in comparison.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 05:44:09

RE: Reg definition

Generally it's when you're enough of a character to be recognised by loads of people when you're on the forums, and you're on regularly, over quite a long legnth of time.

Although, some forgotten peeps like me get it purely for being here so goddamn long :P

RE: Reg collab

I'm definately for Kirk heading it. I could, but I'd probably forget or something stupid like that. I really think you should do it after we've (I've) all finished our (my) Christmas Games (Game) or animations. It's a totally selfless point, obv. .

Who wants to be an NPC?

Speaking of games, who wants to be added as an NPC in the super secret area of my game I'm adding? I don't want too many - no more than 10 - 15, including any real life friends I'm not too ashamed of the lameness of making a game about elves to ask - so whether you're in or not is down to your suitability in the game, how well I think I can draw you, and if I can think of anything cool for you to say rather than anything. Anyone who isn't in will probably be incorporated into some floting orb or something...

If you want in, post your elf name, your full, non-alt user name (you can just use the same), a rough description of your looks and loosely what you want to say (it's a 'Suitable for All Audiences' game, so try to keep it clean :P).

How do you guys feel about eating fast food? McDonalds, Burger King, etc. will clog your arteries, yet you keep going back, time and time again. Do you guys have a problem with fast food, or do you still eat there regularly without worrying about your health? Is it the convince, the taste, both?

Despite being as skinny as a twig, I still have the craving for fast food. I guess I'm kinda-sorta-lucky in the regard that the major fast food chains are a real effort for me to get to (as in, not in my village, not within five miles of me walking and not in the town where I work). Back in uni I did eat a lot of Fast Food. Would take me about half an hour to walk from my house or halls or wherever I was staying to get to MaccyD's to get a Premiere with Cola.

Hmm... sweet calories running through my veins...

RE: PS2
Going to catch the multiple busses back into town to take my PS2 back and will buy a Slimline as well. If I get it back properly fixed, well there's a late Christmas present for someone.

Pretty sure it's the actual caddy that's broken, or at least wobbling. The old thing's a second hand ebay purchase anyway, and I got a few good months out of it.

Sure. I'll be an elf, but a Major question though: Generic Fantasy Tolkien Style Elf or Christmas Style Elf?
It matters...

Do you think Kirk will actually step out on this one and be the organiser and things of the collab. Because from what I have seen, hes really the only candidate so far. If he doesnt do it, it doesnt seem like anything is really going ahead.

Will it go ahead? Theres no storyline, anything.....
