I'm doing it at Brunel, I researched and found it is the EXACT same course at Kent where you did it? I swear you said you did a degree in Flash Games development? How was the course?
Yeah I did it at Kent. And I don't remember saying that (although that's not to say I didn't say it :P).
To be honest I found the course a bit hit and miss, so modules were a lot better than others. There was one about film making were we had to make a 10 minute documentary which was really good. Then there was a module where we had to write about the impact mobile phones had on us and how it effected us emotionally, which was a load of old wank.
I found that a lot of people took the course very seriously, while I mainly pissed about. In the first year we had to give a short critique on a painting and while most people did things by Van Gogh or Dali or Monet etc, I did A Friend In Need. In our final year we shown a bunch of Flash games with political statements and were asked to design a similar game, every other group did famine or war or AIDS, my group did Meth 2.0: Kick the Habit! It was like GTA, but from a hookers view.
One thing I did like about the course was most of it was practical/coursework based, so there wasn't an excessive amount of lectures or writing to be done (I only had three hours a week in my final year). So it's safe to say that uni didn't in any way get in the way of my social life.
