I THINK (though I'm probably wrong) that I managed to blam almost every submission. I missed a couple here and there, but they flew by too fast.

i know Sergeant. i got two submission screens with that damned no movie exists...crap. but i got a hefty amount of points. i only got to flag a few though. my computer wasn't fast enough. oh well, i helped out so it's all good.

definitely agree. that was insane. havent seen anything like it since the last clock day. i thought i was gonna die, or my pc was gonna crash from that flood of garbage.

DEFCON Update:

We're moving back down to DEFCON 2 for now. While DEFCON 2, 3, and 4 are proactive roles that can take a surge or lag in Portal operations, DEFCON 1 and DEFCON 5 are very sensitive situations that must be changed upon any signs of slowing (in the case of DEFCON 1) or speeding up (in the case of DEFCON 5).

I was at least able to vote on every single one. I protected a few of them, though.

Actually, DEFCON 1 is so rare that DEFCON 0 is unnecessary. This is literally the third time DEFCON 1 came around since I started the Barracks. In fact, in retrospect, one of those DEFCON 1 situations was only worthy of DEFCON 2. Don't expect to see DEFCON 1 too often.

it has finally stopped but I have to ask what was that all about? I thought they only did that on clock day. oh and when I looked in the portal I could have swarn I saw one of those crappy flashs where made by slash I hope I was wrong about that one

They all wanted to have the 300000th submission to NG. If that wasn't obvious enough with the titles of the movies and the links people posted. Check out the 100000th and the 200000th submissions. Pure perfection.

I doubt that they will take whistle points off, but people shouldn't do that once informed. Think of all the extra work that Wade would have to do with all the whistling. That's why he used to just delete all flagged things if there were too many for him to handle.

I've never been around for a Clock Day, either. From what I hear, that is how the Portal is all day.

Eaglerock, and Peregrinus I am ashamed of you two. you know how I feel about abusive reviews even though slash made a spammy flash you never write a review that is abusive! if you don't know how it is abusive I will explain. those reviews didn't tell slash how to improve his work at all in other words they had no benifit to him what so ever. even though slash made a spammy flash you should have just blammed it and moved on and talk to him about it in here. >_<,

I've never been around for a Clock Day, either. From what I hear, that is how the Portal is all day.

if it's going to be like that all day, then it'll have to be speedy work. but i was wondering, what happens when the portal gets over 50 uj entries? do they stop coming in or do they just bump the others down the list?

Pff, I wanted to submit in Clock Day, because It got me really hype, but I chose to stick to B/P until I get a rank of EGSC. If SF is really loyal to the Barracs, then For Shame, but it's the challenge.

Will all due respect ma'am, i know the review wasn't helpful but i usually write a helpful review when i know the author actually gives a damn about the submission (otherwise, i wont review). I know for certain Slash didnt give a crap about the submission, as even he gave it a zero "so as not to miss a blam point".

Plus, those were the only two reviews. had we not reviewed, then poor Lt Slash would have felt unrecognized and unwanted, would turn emo, get a job, get a life (no offence, you know what I mean), and quit NG forever. If it was any other author, I wouldn't bother, but Slash and I had a good laugh about it afterwards, so really, I see no issue here. I dont care if you check my review history: you will be hard pressed to find abusive reviews. The ones that border abusive are for flagged submissions waiting to be deleted.
