Burnt Ice is a fucking great sing, along with Your Dead, perhaps the best two songs on UA.

Burnt Ice is both the first and second best on the album. And why has there been a lack of activity in this club? I expected more posts with the new album, but its ben the complete opposite.

Exactly why I bumped it. What does everyone think of Amerikhastan? I love who Dave makes up such great lyrics.

Its Mustaine doing one of the things he does best... Taking a political stand via his music... He's also telling the truth. The Beginning of the song says it all.
Recruiting the ill-fated for "The War"
A legion of uneducated ,bankrupt souls
With a lust for revenge, answering the call
From New Yorqatar to Califarabia
And his ability to make up great lyrics is one of the reasons why Mustaine>>>>pretty much everyone.
Ah he said Amerikhastan was the sequel to Holy Wars.
I haven't given the new album much listnes if im being perfectly honest. Not because I don't like it, just haven't been in a Megadeth mood recently :P
I'll probably listen the next time I go jogging or something. Havent had time with me exams.

I didn't like that song much. Although I don't give a fuck about politics, but the political lyrics on Amerikhastan and United Abominations were annoying to me.

This club is for any of those who love Megadeth.
You've already got me interested.
Whoever thinkgs Dave Mustaine is one of the (if not the) most influencial artists in Thrash and Speed Metal, this is the place for you!
Well, all in all he's not GOD but he has influenced me in a musical sense.
Whoever prefers Megadeth over Metallica (within certain suitable parameters), this place is for you!
I actually like both, though today's Metallica has NOTHING on the Metallica of the '70s.
I for one love Megadeth, and got into them as I was exploring Metal, and I watched the VH1 Behind the music of Metallica. I saw their back story and found out about Megadeth.
Dude I friggin' got it on my iPod just last week. That story is very detailed and accurate. I had no idea Dave Mustaine used to be part of Metallica before "Kill 'em All", nor did I expect that he came up with most of their lyrics for that album!
The reason I like Megadeth? I like how the use their instruments. The guitarwork is highly melodic. This is a reason I prefer them to Metallica. Alot of Metallica's music I find bland, and too much drumming.
I haven't heard muach of their music from today, but I do feel like checking it soon.
However I still love a few Metallica songs, so im not flaming!
Eh, we should all just remember that it's all a matter of opinion, so you really haven't offended anybody.
Favourite songs include Holy Wars, Poison Was the Cure, Lucretia, Tornado of Souls, Rust In Peace...Polaris, Symphony of Destruction, Skin o' My Teeth, Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead, I Ain't Superstiscious, A Tout Le Monde, Train of Consequences, Almost Honest...
You forgot Hangar 18. X ( lolz

Well I'm glad to see this club active. Megadeth, like Metallica, deserves as much publicity as they did back then. I don't have enough room on my sig for the link to this club, though I will always support it and make sure to pop in every now and then.
Until then, Rust in Peace.

Metallica didn't form till 1981 or something, and they released their debut album in 1983

Saw em on Friday.... were very good. But the set was very short, so it was kinda disappointing.
Mustaine's hair is fucking ace :). I want it.
Anyway, this was the (short) set they played.
Sleepwalker
Take No Prisoners
Song I've never heard.
Hanger 18
Peace Sells
Symphony of Destruction
Holy Wars... The Punishment Due (with The Mechanix in the middle).

Who cares, you saw them you lucky asshole.
Anywho, album review time!
NOTE: For the TLDR people, scroll right to the bottom.
Sleepwalker: Not a bad song, not quite the song i think should open the album though, awesome riffs, and awesome solo.
Washington Is Next!: Awesome, just pure fucking awesome, lyrics were great, riffs were great, intro was sex, solo was even better. Top track.
Never Walk Alone...A Call To Arms: Pretty good, not my favorite though, nice solos.
United Abominations: I found this track to be pretty awesome, considering the intro didn't really offer me much, then when the song started it had me hooked. Top track.
Gears Of War: Just doesn't do it for me, the lyrics are a bit : \ and the song itself is just a bit...i dunno.
Blessed Are The Dead: Great song, great lyrics, great solo to, pretty awesome song. Top track.
Play For Blood: When i first heard the song before the album came out, it sounded the slightest bit average, the album version has been worked on, and i must say that the work has payed off, great riffs, lyrics and solo. Top track.
À Tout Le Monde (Set Me Free): Not bad, not bad at all, it sounds great with that chick (forget her name) from Lacuna Coil.
Amerikhastan: Great intro, great lyrics, great solos and great riffs. Nothing much more to say, just awesome.
You're Dead: I was getting ready to label this track as ugly, until i heard the solo. Not the greatest, but an awesome solo to it.
Burnt Ice: Awesome, just pure awesome, lyrics were great, riffs were cool, and the solo was orgasmic.
Just buy the fucking album, it's awesome.

I got it because I only had a few bits and pieces downloaded from LimeWire a few years ago.
I've never heard Last Rites/Loved to Death or Chosen Ones.
And the quality is so much better now.
I didn't end up going to the city =(
So i just spent my money on Scarface and Test Drive Unlimited for PS2 which im going to go play over at my mates place now.
