If you don't know what a band sounds like and you want to check them out, then downloading their shit is totally acceptable to me. Downloading a few songs from the artist. If you're not going to buy a full album, then they're not really losing out, but they are getting heard which could easily lead to other forms of support - seeing them live, buying an album in future, etc.

But if you truely like a band, and still download their albums, then you're a faggot.

See, that's what I do. In the past I've had some of my cousing run around (annoying little brats) and scratch some of my CD's (I've bought Rust In Peace twice) so I buy the album, and save it on my computer.... Think of it like a back-up in case something happens to the disc.

And you're still supporting the band at the end of the day.

I never touch the disc. I buy a CD, burn it to my PC and then just put it in my CD rack for show. I never use them cause I like them being in as perfect condition as they can be.

And that's why I keep the CDs. Just incase my computer crashes and if I sold the CDs, I'd have to get them all again. Also, I'll need to keep the CDs for other uses.
