I wouldn't say it's like the old albums, but there is a bit of Rust in Peace in the album. There's also a bit of similar sound to other Megadeth albums such as The System Has Failed. It's a great album. The only downfalls are the pointless A Tout Le Monde remake and the annoying politcal lyrics.

Yeah I know. Lostprophets are not essential metal...The only good band I have seen there is chimaria...The rest are in the back covered in dust.

Quick question... To those that have listened to United Abominations. What's your favorite song so far?

For me it has to be Burnt Ice, it just sounds like vintage Megadeth my only complain with the song is that its the last one on the album.

I have only heard 2 song of the new megadeth CD. Gears of War and Sleepwalker and I love em both. And when you compare them to metalicas new songs there even better.

I have heard Gears Of War, Sleepwalker, Play For Blood, Never Walk Alone and A Tout Le Monde from the new album...Sleepwalker, Play For Blood and Never Walk Alone are probably the best out of the songs i have listened to.

I once saw Slayer and Metallica in Essential Metal, but that's it. However, it was a lot worse Virgin made a "Best Metal Artists". It was full of shit that wasn't metal.
