Thankyou for proving my point about you being all substance and no atmosphere....

And I understand about atmosphere... I just couldn't give two fucks about it.

You said I don't like Black Metal. I proved that I did.
Also, atmosphere is part of the substance you dolt. Anything to do with the song is part of the substance. Atmosphere isn't some post-song addition, its made within the song for a reason. Just like speed, just like technicality, just like catchiness.

Read my posts. I never said you didn't like Black Metal. You've told me you like some Black Metal bands, I don't doubt that.

Well what I was trying to say is you were focusing to much on what was being played, and not enough about the mood it sets and the theme it provokes within the environment it's played in.

It needs to be balanced, especially in Doom/Black. At least, this is my opinion.

Woah...thats some heavy shit.

Also just the other day, i was listening to Sleepwalker, then to Holy Wars...

The two songs sound similar.

You reckon?
I think Sleepwalker's pretty awesome, and I predict it'll probably be one of the best from the new album, considering some of the reviews!

Also, i've been learning High Speed Dirt on guitar, pretty much learnt it now. It's not to hard, but it's fucking awesome. Currently my new favourite Deth song. I just love the little acoustic blues solo in the middle of the song.

Listen to the start of Holy Wars, the little high jumpy bits that pop up during the riff. Then listen to Sleepwalker just before the pre-chorus.

It's not exactly the same, but it's similar overall.

Oh right yeah I see exactly what you mean. I try to do those on guitar with Holy Wars. It's still mega hard for me, im not fast enough.

Most of Megadeth's good songs are hard to play...you know any, i guess, simple songs?

Peace Sells. Symphony of Destruction... a couple for ya there. Tornado of Souls is pretty easy once you've not the main riff down.

Yeah those are all pretty easy, although I havent attempted Tornado of Souls.
Like I said, High Speed Dirt is fairly easy, as is Countdown to Extinction, and if you don't mind playing their more commercial stuff then pretty much all of Cryptic Writings and Risk are very simple.

I don't know whether he was trying to say 'Dave is now a devoted Christian' or 'Dave is not a devoted Christian'.

Because he's been Christian for ages now.

Right.

From Wiki:

"Also sparking minor controversy was Mustaine's announcement that Megadeth will not play certain songs live anymore, due to Mustaine's new identification as a born again Christian.[69] In May 2005 Mustaine also threatened to cancel shows in Greece and Israel with extreme metal bands Rotting Christ and Dissection, due to the bands' perceived anti-Christian beliefs, which in turn caused the two bands to cancel their appearances"

Anyway I read it in a magazine that had a Dave article. Can't find it on the web though. But reading above it doesn't sound that unlikely does it?

Its basically the same song. When Dave was in the band it was The Mechanix... when he left it changed into The Four Horsemen.

I like both songs, but I find Mechanix a lot better than The Four Horsemen. One reason that it's way faster. :D

But that doesn't mean I think Megadeth > Metallica. I still don't think either band is better than the other.

Should I join? I'm just now getting into them. I've been listening to 99 ways to die, Hanger 18, Symphony of Destruction, and Peace Sells. I'm also trying to convince my mother to let me see them along with Machine Head and Black Sabbath on the Heaven and Hell tour. I'll check out those videos you posted on the 1st page.

I've been Fab since the re-design,have you?

JUST BECAUSE I LISTEN TO COREY HART :'[
