It shocks me to say that I might start posting in here from now on. Or perhaps not. We'll see. However, I have for the first time decided to start watching anime. I used to have an unfounded negative opinion of it until Film4 started showing some anime movies in the afternoon and they completely changed my opinion of the whole thing.

I wanted to start watching a series, so I've gone with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I just finished watching the first episode and although it's still early days, I can see myself getting quite into this. Anime in general I mean, not just Fullmetal Alchemist. Never thought I'd say that.

Just finished the manga of monster, wow. Probably some major spoilers in this post so tldr 10/10 must read etc.

But loved it. The circular ending, the surprise twists in the epilogue, grimmer's final moments, etc. A fantastic read, wonderfully gripping, always kept me guessing, fantastic read. Love lunge's character, he's just fascinating.

I have a new obsession and must now change all my profiles everywhere to fit said obsession.

Finished with G-Senjou no Maou. I was spoiled beforehand about one of the twists, but it's not really that surprising anyway. A great read, nonetheless.

Music was great, mostly covers/remixes of classical music.

You have a lot watched that I have planned to watch. Unfortunately, I'm the type to only watch one or two at a time. One of them is already Mirai Nikki, and that will take until around April to finish, seeing as it is still going on. Wonder what my next one should be. Probably Shuffle.

I've only read the manga of Mirai Nikki, a long time ago actually. Good concept but flawed execution.

It seems longer when you've rewatched a ton of them more than once. I need to expand!
If I only count it as watched once, it comes out under a month of what I finished. Of course, Bleach's 320 episodes, which I stopped at, are insane. I can't believe it does have that much, yet I watched all of them. Like Delirium wrote, good concept, flawed execution. Only sometimes, though.

Strangely, it's the only one that I have trouble reading spoilers about. I went to TV trope it, and could not, for the life of me, dare highlight the spoilers. I think that says something.

I'd say "I'm willing to give out recommendations to anyone who's interested", but everyone here is so apathetic to really watching anime, no matter how old it is or what sort of genre it belongs to, that it feels almost pointless.

In response to you and kermits posts, I don't really mind your jab, since it was an established member anyway, so everyone's aware it was all in jest. It was more the post directed at someone who's never posted here before that I'm more bothered about. In response to kermit saying that we have done that, I agree. We have done that before, but this kid is someone who hasn't been here before, so there's no reason we should assume he read the last 2000 pages. imo.

anyway, moving away from drama, just got to the big (~ep 80) twist in LOGH. (spoilers ahead:)
Can't say I didn't see it coming, asides from the unnecessarily revealing next ep segment in the previous episode, it was also heavily hinted at in the OP and ED animations for the last half of the show or so. Interested to see where it's going to lead to now, I guess (based off the OP and ED anims again) that julian's gonna rise to fill yang's shoes, at least to some degree. I suppose I still have another 20 eps left to go, so anything could happen really, looking forward to it. Still, I loved the way they handled his death, with him doped up with sleeping pills and very mortal, dying in a very unglamorous way, to a poorly aimed gunshot in an empty corridor. Rather than doing it with pomp and ceremony as he holds the line while orphans are ushered to a safe zone or whatever.

Also whatever happened to oberstein? He used to be in every episode being a dick and looking shifty and all that, and then he just disappeared for a while, and now is he back again suggesting the use of underhand tactics and all that? Huh?
