That'll be in about.....3-5 years, for the very orignal animes at the time, for the generic, overrated ones it will be in about a half a year.

Anywho I just thought of something...you know how most of you guys hold a grudge againest Shonen Jump and its anime? Well what if Shonen Jump released a new anime it lots of people are saying its wicked good and orignal, including a well respected memeber of this club that hates all or almost all shonens before this anime.

Would you watch it?

I watch what I want to watch regardless of companies and whatnot. While I may take what others here say into consideration, (the ones who I think have reasonably good taste) I'm not going to let it completely influence me. If we always rejected shows based on what people in this club say, Kuro wouldn't have watched Lucky Star, which I'm pretty sure he ended up enjoying. The same goes for me and Death Note. I like the whole show despite its flaws.

Oh wow, you're off base.

None of us hold an unreasonable grudge against Shonen Jump.

I enjoy a few Shonen Jump series myself, and I don't keep it a secret.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Hokuto no Ken, Gintama, Claymore, all brilliant, all Shonen Jump.

But most SJ is not, the vast majority is ignorable trash. That doesn't mean I hate the magazine/manga imprint, I just dislike most of the stories it publishes.

Also, I don't think any of us really care that much about the opinions of a "well-respected club member", we disagree on a lot of stuff.

The fact of the matter is name-brand association makes no difference, if a show is quality and something that captures my interest, I'll enjoy it.

Do you really mean it? That makes me feel so awesome.

There are a few things though... I will only be able to make 1 - 3 postes per day due to the fact I have only limited amount of time online per day and whenever I am online there are several other sites I need to contiously update.

What kinds of animes do you guys like?

I hope I can get to know some you!

My taste is pretty similar to your's, although I must admit I have a soft spot for hentai and really trashy old anime from the 80s.

Hi there! I'm fairly new to the Anime Club as well, so it's exciting to see some fresh, new faces.

I like just about every genre of anime there is, including seinens, shonens and shojos. Of course I like other animes like horrors, dramas, romance and mystery.

So, you keep your opinions open. That's great. I find myself enjoying seinens and shojos more than shonen. I also liked Honey and Clover, which was a josei. Can't say that I've watched many josei, but I'd like to.

That's all understandable. Watching a 100+ episode anime can be rather tedious. Many people find that mecha anime are generic and unaccessible, but I'm sure that we'll be able to help you find a series that you'll enjoy. If not, then no worries.

Also, if your wondering about my username its only because I haven't decided what I want to be my future main's name. Any ideas?

I was going to say Tenchou, but that was taken. I can't come up with anything. I'm sorry.

I hope I can get to know some you!

Same here! I think I've made a few friendly acquaintances during my time in the club, and I hope you will, too!

Thats good! At first when I found this club I thought it was just filled with people obessed with animes like naruto! So its good to see there are people online that have a similar taste to myself that I can discuss with rather than explain why a 200+ episode long anime sucks.

I always thought Shippuden was pretty decent, though the original Naruto is god awful. I also never got to like Gintama, it was just too weird for my taste.....

Shame, because it just gets more awesome as it goes on.

The weirdness of the initial chapters begins to wear off fairly quickly, but the series is still fairly strange.

Gee, that seems like a great idea.

But..as usual..no one will care what i say and won't bother watching this show....or...any Gundam show...

BECAUSE TOMINO IS A MEDIOCRE WRITER

Jokes aside, Gundam seems to have much more of a niche audience these days.

Which is actually kind of good, because overexposure is the last thing something like Gundam needs.

Oh well, off to play Twister.

-Legend of daiku maryu gaiking
-Rurouni kenshin
-Tekkaman Blade (1, 2, all specials except burning clock)
-Detonator orgun
-Guyver (out of control movie and both anime series)
-Elemental gelad (is this spelling correct?)
-SRW OG: divine wars
-Tobikage
-Berserk
-Gunbuster
-Diebuster
-Around half of gaogaigar
-First ghost in the shell movie
-Demonbane
-Rahxephon

These are the ones I can remember and enjoyed.

I would, but it's two cities over. I have to take an hour long bus-trip, then a 30 minute skytrain trip just to get the figure. So I need a bigger excuse to go out there.

I've managed to get to the point where there's absolutely nothing that shouts out to me, within the realm of anime series. Is it possible that I've managed to see every series that I have wanted to see?

Perhaps I'll have to make my way downwards, and start watching things that aren't as good as my previous viewings. Or perhaps I'll just move onto other television media.

Before I do this, can anyone give me a good recommendation for a series I can plunge myself into?

I will just I need to know what types of anime you like, what animes you didn't like that much and what animes you have liked.

Do this and I can probably recommend something.

Of course you could just look at my sign up list on the page before and try out those shows, most of them are great or at least medicore.
