God no.

God, i really want to look up the manga: Chars deleted affair: Portrait of a Young Comet

I need more Gundam manga.

I picked up some random stuff back in the 90s, but never finished it.

it depicts Char's experience going to Axis after the one year war, there he meets a 14 year old Haman Karn. I came buckets when i first heard about this.

Loli Haman = incredibly want

So obviously, it gives more detail to there relationship. And proves that Char likes loli's.

Fabulous.

Television and DVDs, mostly.

Because I'm law-abiding and have respect for the Region 1 anime industry.

Welcome back guys, this place became very isolated and desolate.

Gays??

I watch most of my anime on DVDs, but every now and then I watch em on TV, i'm sure this is the same for the majority of us gays here in the anime club.

Except Matt, you dirty pirate you.

Just keep telling yourself that.

I highly doubt you do. you watch it on pooptube i bet.

From what I understand if someone puts up a anime episode, movie, amv, fansub, amv, ect. It gets deleted after around a week.

Its not even a good source for pirates.

I highly suspect you do the same/

I usually watch the first one or two episodes of animes online and if I like it I buy it. This is smarter than spending money on something I watch and say; "What the fuck?! 25 Bucks for this piece of shit?!?!"

But after the first episode or two I don't watch stuff online.

True.

Which animes do you have on DVD?
Answer above question or i won't believe you.

I will, but please note, I get my DVDs off of places like Ebay and I have pratically no idea between which ones were bootlegs and which ones weren't. Also i'm not going to go into detail by saying stuff like; "2nd and 4th season of this, first season of this, the first OVA of this, etc."

If you aren't gonna bitch and whine about those two things then heres my list,

In no paticular order;

Bleach
claymore
black lagoon
berserk
Ranma 1/2
Hellsing
Rurouni kenshin
tsubasa chronicles
fma
x/1999
Akira
.HAck// shows
Haruhi S.
Air gear
excel saga
Rozen Maiden
DN angel
death note
Monster
Lupin III
NANA
xxxholic
Samurai X
Afro Samurai
Chobits
Slayers
Peace maker Kurogane
Trigun
Blood+
CCS
Cowboy Bebop

Only ones I can remeber, i'll post more if any more come to mind.

Then you're no better than a shameless pirate.

Buying bootlegs is actually worse than downloading illegally, to a degree, because you're paying money for a product that violates copyright laws.

Most of the stuff on your list has yet to see a complete Region 1 release, so I can easily put two and two together and figure out the illegality.

In short: Fuck you.

Unless I wanna take a 2 and a half hour drive from my house to the nearest place that has lots of anime and manga shop, the internet is my only choice is I want DVDs.

Plus, who cares if their bootlegs? It makes me feel better if I buy them rather than watch them at like dailymotion and its not like the people who made the animes care if one or two people buy bootlegs online.

And also this club is supposed to be used to discuss anime and some manga, not were we get them and whether or not if it was legal.

I only said what I have so mendou won't be a bitch.

That's a pathetic excuse.

You could legally buy DVDs online, you know.

Plus, who cares if their bootlegs? It makes me feel better if I buy them rather than watch them at like dailymotion and its not like the people who made the animes care if one or two people buy bootlegs online.

One or two people?

You're really, really stupid.

Bootlegs are really widely available. They're far from scarce.

And also this club is supposed to be used to discuss anime and some manga, not were we get them and whether or not if it was legal.

It's a rule.

We're not supposed to discuss methods of obtaining anime unless it's done legally due to the rampant piracy.

Don't like that? Then get the fuck out.

I only said what I have so mendou won't be a bitch.

Oh, shut the fuck up.

No, I meant they wouldn't care about one person who bought the bootlegs, only the people supplying the bootlegs.

It's a rule.

I know.

We're not supposed to discuss methods of obtaining anime unless it's done legally due to the rampant piracy.

Exactly, if you guys don't want me too discuss my boot legs don't ask me about it.

I won't and I haven't randomly brought a topic like this unless someone asked me.

Wrong answer.

Yes they would.

Because it's not one person, it's thousands.

The Region 1 industry (in case you're ignorant of recent news) is on the verge of collapse thanks to that weak mentality of yours.

Anime is a hard business to be in 'round North America, it's a niche. If people don't buy legit product, companies can't make legit product.

Exactly, if you guys don't want me too discuss my boot legs don't ask me about it.

No, you're missing the point.

You just don't get stupid and blatanty incriminate yourself.

You don't make mention of other users being pirates when you're worse.

Oh yes, defiantly.

Your cute little sense of humour doesn't suit you here.

First 3 seasons only.

Our family is composed of people who enjoy old anime. Why, my uncle also has some old Macross (Robotech) VHS tapes that he recorded himself, using blank tapes.

He also lets them watch Cutie Honey. I don't know what to make of this.

Yep. I guess that it's because that's what they watched as children. However, those two anime are the only anime that all of us enjoy. The uncle I'm telling you about kinda grew out of anime, but he's still a hentai addict. I know this because my little cousin found a Night Shift Nurses DVD alongside his video games, and then showed me the case.

Then, I have another uncle who lives in Seattle. He tells me that he's somehow involved with an anime merch store. He likes Japanese DS games and the Fate/Stay Night anime. He really wanted me to watch a few episodes when he came over here for vacation. I don't know why.

I have obtained the following:

Kemonozume
Pet Shop of Horrors
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Shigurui
Violence Jack
Violence Jack 2
Violence Jack 3

I haven't watched any of these yet except for the first 4 and a half episodes of Shigurui. So far, I'm not really into it.

Golden days are long gone. We have nothing to live for anymore.

Oh but you do, the only reason to live is to see how far the whole of anime goes before it finally, becomes a full American Past Time and just rips the whole reason for anime out of the hearts of its followers. The day when anime is mass produced like those little plastic toys kids in china make, with no mind in ting to be innovative or unique. When every Anime is the 50th clone of a past time. Thats when the end is near, thats when Nuclear destruction is the only option, time for Fallout.

I honestly get a kick out of the right kind of terrible.

Go Nagai seems to have a magic talent for making self-consciously awful stuff. Y'know, with ham-handed social commentary and everything.

That's not saying he's incapable of quality (Mazinger Z, Devilman, Cutie Honey), it's just that his failures are so spectacular that they're still worth watching.

But if you can get ahold of it, it's well worth it.
