I was reading through my collection of Ranma 1/2 doujins last night and I noticed something. They must either written by really obsessive fans or disgruntled former staff writers, because the characterizations are dead-on 90% of the time.

Hell, cut out the graphic sex, and most of these stories would be perfect fodder for moar OVAs or another season of the TV series.

If one of these folks could obtain the license and a good budget to do maybe six OVAs or something, it'd be a dream come true.

In these cases, it would be even stronger fan-service (taken the form of best staff grouping) if they brought back what's left of the original team of staff including Director, Music Composer, Seiyu (obviously) and so on.

The mere thought of that makes me want to rob a bank and take Kappei Yamaguchi hostage.

Original composer, director and Seiyu + new writers = epic win

If only I was rich beyond belief, because I'd personally fund a project like this.

You don't have to be rich beyond belief to get some fanworks made.
Even if the original cast cannot be reunited, I am sure that there is still a way to get possible substitute Seiyu to do the job of catching the original staff's attention.

True, BUT I WANT THIS TO BE PERFECT!!!!

I already do fanworks, so I know that no real budget is required (especially for fan manga, other than the cost of inks and such or printing fees for mass-produced works)

Even if the original cast cannot be reunited, I am sure that there is still a way to get possible substitute Seiyu to do the job of catching the original staff's attention.

Yeah, but the original cast would be better. That you cannot deny.

I do not deny the fact that the original cast is always better.
I am implying that the fanwork in question is but a 'beacon' to catch fan attention, thus setting off a chain reaction for them to demand more of this.

And if it does work out as planned, I am sure that Kappei and the other seiyu would start investigating, Alternatively, introduce your plans to them through writing.

If I could actually conduct my insidious plan properly without rambling, I would start drumming up letters to send to whomever it concerns.

The game actually looks pretty neat. It's a shame it's DBZ, so most of the players will be aged 8-11. What we need is a MMORPG for Rurouni Kenshin.

In b4 "No, you're wrong, X needs an MMO. Fuck your opinion. X would make for a far better game, etc.".

Stuff like this happens everytime.

I really couldn't see that working, it'd just be a sea of "ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA"s and "MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA"s, a JJBA MMO would just be sheer unplayable madness. Not to mention they're be people saying "How come Stand X isn't available, but Stand Y is? Stand X is far more balanced/is better for combat/is my favorite" .

The whole paragraphs you wrote are so fucking true.

I visited Japan for about 2 years, and let me tell you, it's not all anime and shit. But the parts that DO have anime, it's pretty hardcore. The rape stuff? Never really heard of it, didn't really pay attention to the laws, since I almost never went off our American naval base.

There are ALOT of fruity pictures all over the place though, and all the food they have has at least has one cute little picture on it for advertisement.

TOKYO IS FUCKING INSANE! That's the place where we went out most at. There were little shops everywhere, little noodle shops and bakeries scattered around, and IT'S SO CROWDED!!! And EVERYTHING is fucking expensive in the malls, such as Daiei and other places.

If you think Tokyo is crowded, wait until you visit Hong Kong.

As for prices; yes, everything is expensive in Japan, but I get the quality goods that I pay for compared to the overpriced junk in supermarkets in Europe.
