It is fairly easy. If you are using ActionScript 2 it is probably a tad more difficult than ActionScript 3, but still easy enough. GotoAndLearn has several great tutorials on the use of XML in Flash. There are AS2 and AS3 ones to view.

Character Model
I need opinions on my character model.
This will be the basic build for all the characters. They're just going to be tweened figures for the most part. I just want them to be recognizable and easy on the eyes.

Well, the main writers asked that I kept the style simple. Nothing too detailed. They were talking about something along the lines of the Home Movies. I didn't want to go so far in that direction, but also wanted to make them look distinguishable from other flash movies. I don't know how to keep it simple and not make them look flat. Proportions are also not supposed to be correct. I like balls as hands.
I did fix up the eyebrows and mouth a little bit.

To me it looks like different parts of his body are facing slightly different angle which makes it look a bit dodgy. Try the art forum, they might be able to give you better criticism.
