ok. This was the only demo i planned on showing anyway. Besides, anyone low enough to steal the idea probably doesn't have the coding knowledge to execute it, and we still have a bunch of unshown tricks.

Holy shit I saw that and, I think I have been hacked, I didn't think it was me, thought it was someone else... I just logged on now, I better check the damage... Luis could you please check my posts and delete those kinds and maybe even ban me for a while until I figure it out... my account isn't even good, who the fuck is hacking?

The internet in my house has been down the last days, I'm not so sure when it'll be fixed. But hey, I have actually been Flashing more than ever, and thank God, I have a shitload of stuff to do before this project is to be presented on the 4rth. It's great though, no one in my school knows anything about Flash so anything I do looks impressive to them. Hoorahz. I'll show you all something from it when I am done, but it's not something I'd put online.

I'll be back in a few.

Kbai.

It's Senior Prom tonight, Hooray! I can't wait.

Thanks, I emailed Tom about it to see about changing some of my account stuff and to tell him some suspects that it may be... he also hacked my blog...

and I was getting excited to discuss legendaryfrog but now I'm just gonna go and try to fix this...

have 'fun'

Forth Axis in flash

though the 4th dimension is space, we cna ignore that and use the 5th, time..

and to control time, we can could use a scroll bar, therfore contorling the time of the mvoie and going back and forth in it...

so if we have a movie with the conventional 3 dimensions and add time, we have a '4d' flash.

but we could further use this sort of time contorl in a flash game.. for example, using a sidescroller in the style of sonic/mario if you make an error whcih leads to your characters death, you could rewind the action and animaitonloops of all objects to go bakc to a point before your ahcaracters death and redo the actino that lead to the death and this tie around you could succed.

.....

Wtf

yea the idea baove was just somehtign i was thinking about earlier... possible in flash but i'm sure it'd be a bitch to execute..

only problem I see in that is RAM OVERLOAD

and going into the future would be an issue

I like the shooting it feels comfortable.. the reloading feels like it takes a bit too long.. maybe you can have a meter or something along the bottom that tells you how far along the reloading is.. so atleast you can tell how much longer you have to wait.

4D flash

How so?

For that you could just have the framerate 2x whcih would mean all emenies do their animations and loops and pathwalks much faster...

probs best sued for sections of running and such.

4D or 5D flash
the going back in time thing reminds me of sands of time, a little to much, and sounds like alot of work for little reward, and the fast forward simliar to that in the sims, or am I seeing this all wrong?

I'm cool now... Right guys?... Guys?

Well at least he typed my name correctly :)

4D Flash

It is possible for flash to remeber every action you do i belvie. ( there was a fighting game awhile bakc that had instant replys..)

so if you used rewind flahs would could either reverse the actions performed or the animatins that happend...

it'd be a fucker to AS but.. hell.. AS3 is out now.. If you can mak a realtime vinyl scratching thing you can try..

Let's say on average you have 20 moving sprites on the screen at once. And let's say that each sprite has an average of 10 variables to keep track of (x, y, speedx, speedy, misc. variables, etc).

Now that's 210 pieces of data right there. if each data piece is on average 4 bytes, then that's 840 bytes of data

now let's say you want to have 10 seconds stored at a time (@ 30 fps). 10*30*840 = 252,000 bytes (246 KB)

Actually, nevermind that wouldn't be that much of a ram overload.

it'd be easy in AS2 using some arrays and for..in loops

A classic puzzle
http://www.supuzzle.com/

I know i knew the answer... i just can't remember it, well, for those who dont remember it and havev free time as me, you need to connect all the house with the stuff without lines crossing....

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say that wasn't true. This game was submitted to the portal a little while back not sure if it got through or not but anyway I kept trying to do it on paper and realised it couldnt be done. I had a good explanation as to why before aswell it's all about how the three lines create closed shapes that cannot be broken, the point is you cannot beat it. The best way to see that is by right clicking and playing inside the flash, you'll see the person didn't bother to even make a "you won" screen.

Here's a good puzzle that CAN be beaten, you probably have all seen it before though. Try connecting the nine dots using only 4 lines that all follow on from each other (like not lifting a pen if it were on paper).

Gah, I tried for a while and couldn't get it... I looked up the solution and I wasn't very happy. The answer is kind of like cheating because it isn't really fair the way you connect them.

Well it's not like there were rules placed against it. It sort of uses the literal sense of the definition to lateral thinking. :P Took me awhile to figure it out.
