Congrats, you definitely deserve it :)

Yay! NGR made it in, too.

Armour Games vs. Armor Games
I hope you don't keep spelling it Armour Games because armourgames.com goes to mofunzone. I thought that would be something nice to point out. That's annoying shit when people do that.

Collabs
They SHOULD die down soon. I'm suspecting that it will happen sooner rather than later. I remember when that happened about 6 months ago, and the collabs were overflowing the forums just like right now. Lets hope. I believe a number of collabs limit is in order. Fishhook...he's on his 3rd collab in the past 2 or so weeks. He also just started one recently and quit it half way through, leaving other people in charge. What a dick.

It only died down because we cracked down on it, going so far as to ban people who ignored the local collab rules. Might have to do that again : /

I'm getting some weird thing right now where if I visit any site that has Flash on it, this pop up notification asks me if I want to install the newest version of Flash Player and its tracking from some weird domain. I don't know if it's from this website, but that seems to be the most relevant to this situation.

Hi there!

Haha, I was thinking more like the API games Denvish used to make, but that example works too =P

But then those have movie clips created...

Still a far more impressive achievement though, of course.

With people just joining collabs and then getting co-authored (seeing as most collabs only take around 10 people now), and also seeing how people can delete they're old shitty flash, a BA over 3 is easy as hell to get a hold of.

Deleting Flash isn't necessary, since an update quite a while ago means that BA is only based on your Top 3 submissions (which is a good thing).

Still, it'd be good to see collab rules such as having to cite three good submissions you've made which aren't just co-authors or club stuff (clock day, e.t.c.)

Still? I remember Dan or Inglor complaining about that way back when Armor Games wasn't considered to be evil. That's a really lame thing for them to do.

Well it certainly looks you have had a very brilliant brainwave.
Flashes are taking over.
Guys like you and me prefer Newgrounds over other gaming portals.
Not only gaming but others also like comical movies and others.
Lets try our very best to contribute as much as possible.
Lets get it started.........

This is getting a little excessive. Anyone else think so?

Hmm I seem to be in the minority, but i actually think that people coming together and collaborating on a flash is one of the coolest things in this forum. A lot of nice little memorable flashes have been created this way in the past and it's ideal for people with not too much time on their hands to be part of something.
I agree that many of them are pretty poor, but mediocre artists should also get the chance to do a collab. Making a seperate collab forum might be a good idea.

I don't mind much about the big amount of collabs either. Although it is a shame for the artists when the collab dies because the starter leaves, most of the time they should be able to take it over themselves. I also reckon it's a good lesson, artists will think twice before joining another collab when their last one was cancelled. Although I do agree that the requested B/A could be a little higher, I also think it's a problem that will resolve itself over time.

But then again what if the new collab was an awesome original idea that had great potentiol if only people joined.

People should get second chances. If their next one fails too then the person should improve on keeping his collabs alive before posting another one

Collab Overload

One way to improve all of this is is to have a check box on the make the new thread screen, whether it's a collab or not. If you haven't got the qualifications to make one, the box is uncheckable. Then, on the main forum screen, all verified collabs would be a different colour or have a different icon.

Then the mods would only have to check the small amount of threads calling themselves collabs, but aren't marked as such, to see if the author was too lazy to click the box or if people were trying to sneak the system.

This system will also cut down on people who don't know about the 3.0 BA rule making a collab.

I hope people understand what the heck I'm banging on about.

Good idea, tell Tom so he'll stop working on that darned Castle Crashers game.

no really, it is a good idea

No one's against the idea of collabs being organized here. It's just that the vast majority of them are half-hearted and short-thought, almost guaranteeing that they won't ever come to fruition. Then it just clogs up the forum needlessly.

Why don't we just reopen NGcollabs? I don't know what happened to the old one when galacti expired...

What's the best free forum out there? I think I'll make a new one and have inglor point the domain to it (i think inglor still owns the domain ngcollabs.com but I might be mistaken)

Animal Crossing

A little random I know, but I've just started playing AC on my DS again, and was wondering if anyone wanted to do a bit of wi-fi trading and stuff!

My friend code is: 4339 1391 9937

If you wanna play, PM me your code or leave it here for all to see. I'll open the gates to my town when I get back to the gym in about 2 hours, and add any codes I get. It'll totally be a mini regs meetup!

Not to mention gives a whole lot of false hope and disappointment to people who actually sign up and make parts for them.

Kids are back in school, there's less time for them to be fucking around on Newgrounds. I think it's much nicer having the forum move a bit more slowly and having to deal with fewer immature users is rather splendid. =]
