Or take the high road and spam the living hell out of his portal.

If he gets that low of traffic, I'm sure his hosting company isn't giving him much bandwidth or space.

Better yet - add it on a timer so the game works fine for the first few days after he uploads it, then at a certain point - BANG.

I'm all for just gathering a bunch of people, and we all make really shitty games and movies and spam the shit out of his portal.

Best idea ever:
I didn't want to write this in a post incase mike sees, so i PMed it to glaiel instead, but mike will never read this thread anway, so I might as well post it hereL

Buy a domain which sounds like it could be something to do with law, like Cliveslawyers.com or something. Make a fake site for cliveslawyers hosted on your own, but with the cliveslawyers domain.

Have the home page saying aout how clives lawyers have won many cases online and specialise in internet fraud. Have a page listing all the current lawyers with top trumps style facts like how many cases they've won and stuff.

Then email him from a cliveslawyers email account stating that mike is being sued and has to appear in court in Australia on Jan 9th if the stolen content from his site has not been removed.

Brown trouser time for mike!

dont call it cliveslawyers though, that sucks

His site's back up guys, and he didn't change his design. I think he just pulled it down for a few days thinking that I would forget about it.

Oh yeah, sorry Glaiel, I forgot to mention that when I redid my site I released your site for sale.

Ya to be honest his portal and registration system is nice, I've been meaning to add one to my own site. (Not a portal, just like a comment system and a registration box)

Makes you wonder why he went out on a limb to steal the template, then fill it up with his own stuff...

There's no need to be so cautious. We're only making harmless speculations about the possibilities of the actions Glaiel could take, and not advocating immature activity in any sense :P

The portal and registration were almost certainly made from public script, or even (less likely) stolen from some other site. There's no way that someone would put so much effort into making their own fully working portal, but ruin it with a completely ripped off template and set of graphics.

mmm i think its alot of hooplah over nothing.. you'd be better off doing more constructive like moving on to a redesign with something more sophisticated... you've probably given him the most traffic he's ever had by plugging him in this thread. He's a mere spec in thewhole scheme of the internet. Its not even worth bothering... lawsuits and all this crap over a template thats not really anytthing that mind blowing is dumb. just take it as a hint to consider a redesign. New year new you.

I wouldn't really count that as an achievement :/ When you can make a Flash that passes by itself with no outside help (meaning NO FRIENDS OR CREWS VOTE 5 ON IT) THEN you achieved something..

Marley

I've always been a huge Bob Marley fan, own all of his "Best Of" collections. But the other day I saw "I Am Legend" (great movie, btw), and Will Smith mentions that Exodus was one of the best albums ever made. So I just took it off the shelf and stuck it in, and I thought maybe I could find some others that agree with me; Bob Marley is fucking incredible. His body of work is ingenious, and Exodus is hands down one of the best albums ever created. Not a single bad or mediocre song, the entire thing is intense from beginning to end.

Anyone else agree?

I've passed a flash with 1 frame without "crew help". My first sunshine flash has NO-ONE else voting that i knew and it passed. That was 1 frame with about 6 movieclips...

It's no achievement...

6 movieclips, thats not one frame is it eh? >: D

Low Frame Flashes
Not really an accomplishment. Look at the lowest rated Flashes and you'll see a good portion of them are one, or maybe two frames long.

Humiliation
I'm just wondering have any of you ever been humiliated on the BBS?

I'm not a real big reggae/Bob Marley fan, though I might check out that album. I was actually planning to do so ever since I saw that movie.

Oh and btw, has anyone ever noticed you seem to do much better in online games when you're slightly drunk? Or maybe that's just because I don't care about losing anymore.

Yeah, no kiddin. Think we need to lay some things down that'll stop the massive amounts of half-hearted ones? I'm thinking something like requiring at least one part 100% done and the menu done. That could shave off a whole load of freeloader collabs while not really restricting the good ones.

Speaking of NG achievements, i saw that Tom added my flash Jinas (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/4 04506) to the 'history of NG' collection. Ever since that collection started i wanted to have at least 1 flash to be a part of it! Woohoo!

If it starts getting REALLY bad then there could be a collab thread where you pitch your idea, and if people are interested then you go for it.

We are cracking down on rubbish Collabs, don't worry. Collabs always seem to fester in large waves, so it should all blow over soon. Usually the wave happens around longer holidays and summer, so it should die down over January.

If not, we might have to enforce a bit higher restriction.

It's funny how Crazy Monkey Games are bigger in England & Australia. They win hands down there. But then most other places Armour Games just about win it.

I wonder if that's part of the reason - we (English) spell it 'armour', not 'armor'.

'Addicting games', I don't think i've ever visited there.
EDIT - Does 'Addicting games' seem to beat Newgrounds because they are two popular phrases on Google? I notice if you put 'addictinggames' in then its a different result.

I hope so :s There seemed to be more collabs than real threads a few minutes ago.

Something about a site called 'addicting games' just screams 'SPYWARE AND LOTS OF POPUPS' at me :s It's not exactly subtle and highbrow as far as naming goes.

I personally think the BA is becoming more of a joke. With people just joining collabs and then getting co-authored (seeing as most collabs only take around 10 people now), and also seeing how people can delete they're old shitty flash, a BA over 3 is easy as hell to get a hold of.

I think somewhere from 3.5-3.8 would be more sufficient in weeding out the pointless collabs, and it would keep mainly good artists running them, which is what everyone wants anyway.
