My ISP probably doesn't because it usually adds a hefty amount of extra pictures to load.

Year End Yardwork.
Anyone else got any year end yardwork to do? I gotta fix up my backyard. It looks like their was a fight between Godzilla and Optimis Prime in it. Broken junk and leafves everywhere. Oh well, I got me a trusty rack and wheel-barrel.
Remembrance Day.
I'm not really a holidy person but this one I am obligated to mourn and remember as my great grampa was a snipper in WW2. Some of the stories I've heard about it like how some of the Canadian soldiers had to piss on their socks and hold 'em agianst their face to save themselfves from poisonous gas just blows me away. I've done crazy things but those are truly brave men.

Comp Failure
Anyone with a mac ever expierence this? I added the 10.4.10 update last night and now when I turn on my computer I get stuck on the Mac OSX boot up screen and the blue bar doesn't go across. Tried booting into safe mode and the fans just go crazy. Should I just boot it from the restore cd, and if I do should I back it all up first?
Just wondering if anyone knows a solution, emailed mac and still waiting on a reply.
300mhz ibook blueberry. Never thought I'd open this again =P
Finally if my computer has kicked the bucket I have about 3grand saved up from summer jobs and other miscelanious monetary adventures. Macbook Pro with a duel monitor setup at my desk, or go for macpro dual 2.2ghz?
I'm leaning towards the laptop as I remember how nice it was having one that was functional.

Tis nice i think. I did an entire day of sitting through lectures on WW1 and 2 monuments last week. Was actually really interesting.
And im alot more interested in this kind of stuff because of my brother being in Afganistan right now. Anyone else here have/had any family or friends in the army?

Paranoia, to me you are and will always be the neglected reg. Youre someone whos name I always forget to mention, and someone i have no opinion of other than, 'oh yeah, that guy I forget!'.
Mr. Frosted Muffins, British Moose both need places on that list I believe. Happy shep too. And a ton more who werent/arent just making up the numbers. Denvish?
To be honest I dont know most the people here at the mo. Im here still - checking the FF, but I backed off this thread for a bit. I think Newgrounds is getting a little to childish and this forum with it. This thread is a good example of that, I dont think Luis is right in backing the CriminalDooder over the last few pages, its a pain having to scroll through pages of worthless comments. Dooder, thats no way me havin a go at you - just basically what Venge was saying - back off a bit, help out instead man.
Re:Girlfriends
I had a slutty one night stand last night.
Thanks for the info!
Missing Regs
It's nice when regs come back and visit every once in a while though. Like Cybex coming back was like having ham and cheese on a Dutch Crunch roll. And Vengeance was awesome to see around too.
Hi there!

My grandpa was in WW2 and my Dad (Air Force) was in Vietnam. I still find War and stuff interesting (albeit bad), but I really don't think that I could follow in their footsteps. I look up to my grandpa as a hero, and I really don't think that I could ever live up to that.

My grandfather is full Japanese, and fought for the United States in World War 2. PBS recently aired a documentary about him, and is someone I really look up to.
Hi there!
Shawn Hollern
I can't seem to find anything on ShawnHollern on NG? He was part of A Simple Line 8 most recently and it seems like all of his Newgroundsillaz stuff is taken down too? His website - TwistedFlash.com - is also taken down. Anybody know anything about this or why he left? He was removed from my favorite artists thing too...did I miss something?
It would be really weird if he just up and left, he contributed a lot of great stuff.
always behind schedule.
Dumb Childhood Computer Programs
So when you were all small children, did you enjoy any silly kid computer programs?
I used to love this program for macs called "Kid Pix". It was a wacky drawing program. I also used to have this program where you could draw an outline and it would create a mask over an image and you'd draw a path and little dots would follow the path over the image and go under the mask you drew so it would look like they were going in and out of doors and stuff. So weird and I don't even remember what it was called anymore.
Kid Pix
OMG I didn't read your whole message but when you mentioned kiddy programs That is the first thing I thought of. I loved that program! The little songs and tunes and noises will stick with me forever. That stuff was so good. I had that on Mac OS 4 or something. OLD SKOOL
Shawn Gone missin
I loved that guys stuff. Where's he at?
Dumb Childhood Computer Programs
OMG, I remember Kid Pix! I did stuff on that when I was, like, 3, but I didn't really use it much. Now that you mention children's computer programs, I also recall the days of playing with my Sega Pico and owning at Mario Teaches Typing 2 for the PC (owning in this case = roughly 35 wpm).
Shamefully enough, I still own a copy of all three of these items (they're lying in a box somewhere). Isn't it funny how a stupid childish program brings back loads of warm, fuzzy memories? ^.^

You were more of a transitional reg, in before the new lot, but not quite part of the 'old reg' era.

We get into this discussion like every month. Next thing to happen is luis or neg will come in and say how we were the new regs once and how they miss the really old regs (Who I don't remember right now). I do remember the days of ninja-chicken, denvish, inglor, liam, and authorblues though. fun times.
Time to move on though.

3D Model
So I was bored and made a little 3D model plant thing. Don't ask me what it is, just a little fun. Too bad I couldn't save it though.. 30 day trial ran out xD Anyways, it's textured, and animated (silly little idle animation).. I feel bad that I can't save it though :( If I could I probably would have made it decent :p
Made with Milkshape 3D, and the texture in Flash.
Anyways here's a little (very little)
video. Magic.
Too lazy to get a screen.
Anybody else play with 3D?
honestly speaking
Glaiel is right tho, every month is a neverending reminessence of the 'good ol days'
This thread is just so tough to 'moderate' ... its like impossible to not step on someones toes.. you try and be fairly accomidating to everyone and its just tough... in regards to Duder i do agree that its just so over the top at times.. like very draining... at the same time ill think about it and ill be like well is it really fair for me to pick on someone if thats how they find enjoyment out of this thread.. which is like this 'catch-all' of topics.. ehh its just a lose-lose situation..
I think the users i miss the most are the ones that were probably never 'regs' in regards to this particular thread.. but put alot of time and effort to improving the flash forum community...
I think the term reg in here has slowly transformed into just someone that hangs out here.. rather than someone who is actively active in the forum and happens to pop in here on occasion.
I think i miss the users who served as a resource to me and the community at large ... i think they made more of an impression on newgrounds than someone who posted heavily on this spamfest of a thread... anywho ive considered having my modship revoked atleast for a good pair of months or so... i rarely ban anyone nor look for topics to moderate like i did in the past and i think i want to just be a normal user without that burden of being super responsible 24/7.

I went from traditional animation scanning them in at a friends house into 3d from ages like 11-12, so I use the term animation very liberally =P.
This is all I could find that at all made sense. And ya I now understand people don't fall that slowly =P
I don't have the .fla and I'm to lazy to reimport the video with just it so it has a preloader and my name at the end. I was about the age that you wanted your name on EVERYTHING you did so that would proably explain it.

Is there some sort of encyclopedia to help us learn how to distinguish between the modern, old and transitional eras? And are there little movements of 'regs'? Like maybe the 'collaborators', the 'collaboration-stoppage' movement, the 'apaths', the 'incidentals' and so on?
Yawn. It's late where I am. I should be in bed.

You know that's a good point. This thread is slowly turning into a black hole of sorts. I'm willing to bet that half of you pop into the flash forum just to check this thread, then leave. No more additional threads pop up where people be social anymore, it's all funneled into this thread right here.
It kinda defeats the purpose of the flash forum when all the talented users only check this one thread and leave rather than checking all the new threads and trying to help people who actually need help. It turns out that mostly noobs are trying to help, and often times they give false information that really doesn't help anyone in the end.
I propose that for every 2 posts you make in this thread, you spend one post helping a noob or answering a question in another thread.

Meh, we should just lock it for a couple of months so everyone gets used to being helpful again.
