That would be hot. If they had a booth there, I PROMISE I would stop by. An hour train ride is a lot more doable for me than a 6 hour flight.
I really hope that materializes.
Oh and also, about Denvish, that's really sad for me to hear. Denvish was ALWAYS a class act. It seems like most people from here have moved on, and it saddens me. I want to personally thank him for his contributions. With out him and his AS: Main project, I wonder if I would have ever been able to grasp ActionScript and create games. When I look at this lounge, I think back to when it begun and it seems like almost no one is left or still posting regularly, heh, I guess that includes me. But that's part of the reason I've moved on. Maybe I'm too nostalgic and sentimental, but it just doesn't have that feel anymore.

Amazing work as always, looks like it will be a wonderful series. I really miss the days when you were a regular posting in the Newground Artist Showcase Thread, those were lovely times and we had quite a few great artists that are no longer around, but I guess that's just the way things go, I'm learning.
It would be nice if you came around every once in awhile just to say hi or show off your latest piece of art or animation.
Best of luck to you for everything you have planned. =]

Game Collabs.
I rarely have seen a game collab lately. One where a bunch a dudes/dudettes get together and do art, animation, bg art, coding, etc. etc. and make a game. Well I'm not sure Game Collab is really the term. I guess poeple just make games together sometimes but ya don't see any games made from a team of 10+ poeple.
Hmm... Maybe all the Regs should think of somethin' and make a game together. Out of us all we got ourselfs a great batch of talented artist, coders, & etc. Would be neat to see. Course if it were to happen it be best to wait 'till the other Reg collab is done.
Ah, I'm just rambling maybe... :/

It's the third, right? You'd better give me a heads up a couple days beforehand just to be safe :P
Toronto is smelly though. Grande Prairie Alberta is where its at, and you all know it.

Oh noes. The C word. Just because I believe the free market's fucking up a lot of society doesn't mean I want a planned state controlled one. That wouldn't work either. All I want is the ability to buy software I want to use to better my artistic side without having to liquidise the few assets I actually own.
It'd be different if they charged more to black people than white people, but that's not the case. Adobe has the right to set different prices for different regions just like how car insurance companies don't sell service to massachusetts (stupid freaking communism car insurance laws....)
Yes. The have different prices for different regions. Except for Lightroom, which is priced pretty much the same worldwide. And they're all exactly the same program (with Americanised English), but for twice the price (the excuse seems to be the complementary support we all enjoy costs more, and I should have to fund Adobe conferences in Italy that I will never go to). Oh, and it costs more if we download it. And if we import it from the States we violate the warrenty and support...
Where the hell is the sense in that? Just because the US is running a trade deficit I can't take advantage of the fact everything's cheaper over there?

Missed the Memo?
So I apparently missed the announcement that it was bad-ass game release day. What do you guys think of some of the stuff coming out today?
Hi there!
Thanks Kraig and thanks senti, criminal, siggy, myname and negative for the comments too. It's cool to see everyone is still around. Yeah, now that i am actually having time to draw, i'll visit this place every now and then again. :)

Yea just played the portal flash version, awesome! It's so well done, and fun, and cool, and I got ticked off and quit at 20 something, but I'll return to it later.
And the visitor is pretty sweet, it's like a prettier less complex hapland, the ending was good if they planned that, but bad if it was a cop out, I think it was planned though.
The 5 differences game, not the armor one (soz jmtb02) was pretty sweet, it was well done and cool, different feel then a lot of games around. The armor one, spot the differences was awesome as well, but a lot more childish fun than the other one.

I find myself making a lot of connections with people and completely forgetting about people I met a few years ago. Linked In is an awesome site for keeping connections with web devs you meet and I suggest you guys sign up for it. It's like a more professional facebook /w resume, and its nice for clients.

It would as long as it wasn't humans running it. Burp.
RADIOHEAD
Radiohead is my favorite band right now. I have gotten loads of inspiration for animations (music videos primarily) while listening to the band
Also, I will personally kick the ass of anyone who doesn't go out right now and buy In Rainbows

I was thinking of setting up a project (that would technically be defined as a collab) where people would draw a rectangular peice of a landscape, but each edge of the rectangle would be the same, and so you could any two rectangles together and they would join seamlessly. Like this.
Just got one: http://www.linkedin.com/in/JohnTringham

Radiohead is pretty good, but definitely not the best band ever. I prefer Ok, Computer. Then again, Paranoid Android and Karma Police are some of my favorite songs, so I am slightly bias.

He was refering to the new album of RadioHeads which came out today called 'in Rainbows'. You can get it from in rainbows dot com. You pay what you like for the album and download it. Crazy idea and brill that RadioHead have done it.
I have been listening to it today, but right now am listening to Shotters Nation by BabyShambles, which came out.. ten days ago now.
Well, yeah, they've definitely changed sounds since 10 years ago. I also prefer OK Computer - I'm just completely obsessed with the band right now. Paranoid Android is probably my favorite song as well.
Radiohead
My dad turned me onto them when I was around 12, his favorite band and in my top 3...
Hard to put a price on the music though, I decided to put what I would pay for it which was 100 bucks or 50 pounds, the rest of my money in the bank. And put that in, no regrets =D...
Excellent music great shit right here.
Halloween Animations?
Who's making something for Halloween, if so what is it? I'm making about four things, most likely. One secret one, a game, an animation, and a Sprite Animation. I wanted to bring a wide-spread of work this month, so this should be interesting and fun. Hopefully, I can succeed? Hah. Well, we'll see.
I've been only working on one so far. And I only have 21 days left til Halloween. Hm, 7 days each project? Eh. 1724 frames done so far for my animation, and 3107 frames left. Woo hoo.
I hate lip syncing.
