Beta testers please!

Bomtoons and I have just finished our new game, INCUBUS PULSUM and we need testers.

The game is currently on my website so check it out.

I'm just looking for bugs. It's too late to change the game's design seeing as I'm going away for a few weeks on saturday, so I'm just looking for bugs.

We will submit to newgrounds tomorrow.

INCUBUS PULSUM

Wow!! thats incredible, but it is very very hard... took me forever to beat the first stage. The only thing that I recommend is that you remove the lowering of the volume when you start to lose, or reduce it. It makes it really hard to stay on beat with the music and smash when you need to when you can barely hear the music. Other than that good job

That is one amazing game. I really love the concept and how you put a twist on the whole DDR song type game. It was very challenging but I liked that about the game. I like the fact that it takes a little while to get the hang of everything.

Great game and can't wait to continue to play it tonight.

Incubus Pulsum

God that game sucked the coding was so flawed the animation blew and the overall gameplay sucked.... >:(

that's hard to say with a straight face.

Holy shit that was fun I enjoyed how hard it was to start out with seeing as you lock the harder levels, you don't have to spend time doing some piss easy level, the first thing it was, was challenging.

The intro animation was very fun towatch and it was a good build up into the gameplay really makes you feel like you're participating in a story which is fantastic.

The little characters you had to smash were cool and well done while the hammer always looked spot on =P

Everything about this game rocked except it took practice on some of the more difficult levels which little monster was going to hit their platform first but still very cool.

RE: NG in public

I've often thought about getting a shirt too, but I don't know how I'd feel wearing it in public. Yeah it would be awkward, but I don't know... It would be awesome to have one to wear, but it's a little strange to others. I usually don't care what other people think, but in this case it's more of what I think than anyone else, it's just awkward. Well, maybe not, I should try it one day, there's nothing to lose there. Actually, forget my whole post. I'm going to get a shirt one day and wear it, if people don't like it, tough shit. :)

RE: NG in Public

I'm probably going to purchase a NG shirt soon, maybe all the ones available. I don't quite know yet. I want to get NG the most publicity as it can get. :) I haven't seen many people though from NG at all. I don't recall in meeting or seeing any of them. The closest one to me would have to me "Tom Fulp" in which lives about 40 mintues away in Philly. :)

Oh, and if anyone is interested..I made a NG Alpha for an upcoming collab of mine.

I think Newgrounds should advertise on TV. When I ask me friends "Hey have you been on Newgrounds lately?" They all just say "Pfft no, it's just a lame ass porn site".

So having international ads on TV would increase its popularity. How many users do we have now anyway?

Really? Most of my friends, well, the ones that are in internet stuff know newgrounds, and they are like 'omG submit your flash to newgrounds' and i'm like 'pfft.. that's what i do', and most kids or frineds of my little brother are like 'omG newgrounds it ahs a lot of games...' so yeah, a lot of people i know know of newgrounds, only on e has an account tho, but he got kinda frustrated his flash wasnt popular, removed it and left..
I have never seen a webpage advertise on tv, except for those 'download music legally' ones and stuff... and the tvchannel's websites that are like 'come to www.... and win prizes'.

I have 1 friend and another person I know who have NG accounts neither frequent but one posts on the forums every once in a while and makes (bad) games, but other than that nobody I know goes to newgrounds....

Maybe they do its just not something that would ever get brought up in conversation even on a guys night...

lets say that an artist stole a bunch of work, submitted it, and got away it for awhile. then he got caught and vanished (shunned) from the NG BBS\site. if he had been working on his flash skills for the last year or so making a great amount of progress and decided that he should show his face again on NG. if he tried to become a reg again and submit work on his own, would he be accepted again?

I think aslong as you admit the mistake people would still have preconceived notions but eventually earn everyones trust again.... godsondagger stole a bunch of shit and submitted it got away with it for a little and still posts pretty often, (just not in the reg lounge) but then again I hate him to his core, he was a jerk before hand he still is a jerk.

Personally when it comes to stuff like that I think people deserve a second chance, but it kind of ground my gears that even denied something that had actually happened, but I still don't really know him enough to have an opinion....

I'm not really a reg but depending on the circumstance and their willingness to admit to their mistake rather than trying to cover it up I wouldn't have a problem and eventually they would gain my respect/trust.

It really depends on the person though...

I don't really have a sense of what people listen to on NG, because I definetly don't think you all listen to metal and techno, rather the ones that do are loud about it...

I didn't mean that literally, I more meant what you were listening to currently... generally what's on your top five means what you forget to pause when you turn off your speakers =P... mines entirely beatles but that doesn't really show what I listen too very well.

I listen to a bit of beck oasis the beatles a couple local bands belle and sebastian (keep that one on the downlow) and a bit of the verve...

Then there are other bands I like but dno't really listen too often enough to be worth a mentioin

personally i am listening to bands such as muse, slightly stoopid, steel pulse, and damain marley alot right now. i also like stuff like prodigy. and the ocassional rap song.

Thieves ever accepted?

In my personal opinion, I most likely won't accept them and forgive them... Want to know why? Well, honestly I believe if you want to become a good flash artist you don't try to steal to begin with. If you're determined and open minded than you wouldn't ever think of even stealing someone's flash to get your own publicity.

One, you know that you'll eventually get caught. Not for a while, but somehow you definitely will. Let's take the almighty thief of us all, Godsondagger. He may not post in the Reg Lounge and probably most likely never will, but I still don't accept him around here.

I could see if you admit for what you've done, and maybe respect everyone. Treat everyone equally and not FLAME everything -- than maybe you're eligible for another chance. But honestly, he's none of those. He didn't admit to the acts he's done in the past. He actually tried to cover his ass by saying "KennyMcB let me host them on my account! He said I could, than we weren't friends anymore and he declared them stolennnn."

If that's the case, than why submit them? You can never trust anyone to the fullest. Why submit work that isn't even yours to begin with? It doesn't make you look good, you'll just be declared some stealing bastard. Godson doesn't even respect anyone really. He has a few n00b friends and thinks he's so good at Flash. He's flaming everyone and tries to say he's a good flash artist when in reality...he's not. :///

Eh, I'm done with Godsondagger. Just with the whole stealing flash thing, I probably wouldn't ever forgive someone. If someone stole my flash and tried to submit it on NG, than I'd be furious. It kinda already happened on another Flash site with my work, but on my behalf I asked the administration to remove it. And I plan on resubmitting it under my name. It gives you free publicity but than again, that's not the publicity I want. I want to gain it in my own way, not someone else's stealing acts.

agreed for the most part if someone willingly comes out that they stole work they're pretty much back to neutral with me.... seeing as apparently they understand that they want to make a commitment to become part of the flash community and steeling stuff just isn't how you do that...

I was much more productive before I started using the forums, there for I believe I am ENTITLED to blame EVERYTHING THAT HAS EVER WENT WRONG (animation wise) on Newgrounds... I actually feel I was progressing at a faster rate back when I didn't go on the forums, its just such a distraction... =P

Still it's definetly more fun then focusing...

I totally agree; when I first came to Newgrounds all I did was watch movies and deposit my experience. I only came the the BBS when I was like level 9, just to see what it was like. I went to the Flash forum first, and I've practically stayed here the whole time (not much General for me :)). I think it's a very big distraction, like how you always go back to the previous post to see if anyone's quoted you etc. But at least it's a fun distraction, like you said.
