Dont you just hate it when your working with someone and they say there going to get it finished on say wednesday but it ends up being finished the next wednesday

Mega Freestyle Flash Battle 2?

I was just wondering is anyone going to make another one because the last one was really fun.

The thread's looking a bit derailed guys. Pull it back together. No more talking about hacked accounts, it's been going on for several pages now. People are now just bringing up the same issues over and over again.

Totally not my fault, Fuzz.

Firstly, that was your deadline. I wasn't really going for it - you just insisted that it should be ready, and when it wasn't there wasn't really much point in submitting something unfinished for the ske of your borderline-OCD deadline setting :P

Secondly, I happened to have two of the worst exams of my life so far that week :(

I was just kidding silly. Im glad we ended up postponing it, its now better and everything has been sorted out ready for our next deadline :).

Then I guess that's fine - but I just personally don't like those type of collabs where 20 people join in and draw random crappy 5 seconds scenes and submit it.

Weekly animation

Bleh, well it'll happen soon. Luis went away, I was gunna do it, forgot, remembered, Luis is back regardless. Go and do last weeks one, or the week before that, or the week before that, or a Weekly.

Deadlines

i always meet my deadlines, even if that means cramming a huge session of work in the last minute.

only time i never reach deadline is when i can get away with it.. which may be why i failed so badly at school. i acutlly managed to go an entire year without doing homework, that was a great year :D!

AS level modules :(

I'm not exaggerating when I say; the biology and physics ones were fucking horrible! They ease you into them with loads of piss-easy past papers, just so you can get into the exam and have several nervous breakdowns.

The worst part of it is just before you start when you see the teachers reading through them. They're not allowed to give anything away from expressions, but just the look of horror on them... Ugh. I'm glad they're both over.

Just released a game I made on the side, designed with Wii compatibility in mind. It's derived from the arkanoid formula but adds a lot to it. Not one of my huge productions, but I still have fun with it. Lemme know how you guys feel.

Charcoal Vs. Pencil

I've noticed that I like to sketch and line draw with pencil but I find it extremely annoying to shade with a pencil. I feel like things never really blend together and you can always see the pencil marks. Charcoal is pretty good for shading but its a bit harder to get a sharp edge if you need one.

I just finished a figure drawing in pencil. When it was just the outline of the woman it looked pretty nice. I skimmed through a Playboy to find a decent pose. First thing I did once I had a solid outline was shade her black hooker boots and underwear. It looked real crisp but once I started shading her skin things seemed to go downhill. Its my first assignment for drawing this semester and I feel awkward about it.

Anyway, so which do you guys prefer? Charcoal or pencil?

i dont' like charcoal, tried that once back in school in art and it looked awfull. i prefer pencil, if done correctly it looks great, also gives the drawing a ncie texture ;)

yet again, i sometimes doodle using a balltip pen and i can shade very wel using that aswell :)

Photoshop is aalways a fun extreme for shading though..

I take back what I said on the review, I hadn't understood what that wiicade thing was. I also didn't notice you could go in the _y axis :p Good game, hope it gets appropriate awards.

I liked it! 5'd it too! ...I would have liked to be able to turn the music off but leave the sound effects on... but that's just me! :P

You probably already know this, but for those that don't... pencils come in different densities (example). Use a harder one for outlines, and a softer for shading. :)

Haha, yeah, that's pretty key as far as beating most levels goes.

I didn't wanna make the in-game interface too busy. You can turn off the music without turning off the sound effects in the main menu options though!

Nice game, i can imagine it would suite the Wii perfectly :). I liek the way you added a nice touch to a old fashioned game, and the art suited the Wii perfectly. Anyway, good work, if i get a Wii, i'll try it out ;).

if u try to slam the ball, it goes only slightly faster than normal, not flying as you'd expect. tha gravity is pretty well done nontheless ;)

There's a certain technique to it. Don't wait too long, but don't hit so soon that you hit the restraining line before the ball gets to you.

Somewhat. The functionality I was trying to capture with this game was flicking the wrist to fire the ball upward. Pointing is the most basic and inherent way to use the WiiMote with Flash, and I know most Wii-Flash games will be using that, so I wanted to do something different. Even still, you have to aim out of that box when you pilot guided missiles, fire the mortar gun and so on, so it has that too. I just didn't wanna focus on pointing because I know it'll be worn out in about a month.

Porn generally is pretty useful for drawing the human figure. Playboy is additionally helpful because its very ascetically pleasing. Also, as far as porn goes its extremely soft core so you're not likely to offend too many people.

good game neg. kept me going for about 15 minutes. more then usual.

the only reason i stopped was because the ball got caught up at the top bouncing around and did not come down. i waited about a minute before giving up.

not to sure how you could fix that...hopefuly it did not happen to many people. and i'll have to wait a little bit before playing it on my Wii. : (

Yeah I agree. I like drawing tits because there sorta an extra little flab that you can sorta hang there. I like to draw bits of the body in strange positions too. That sounds strange, but it's fun to draw tits/

I did so shite in science. When I quit school there was a lot of questions I wanted to ask, like stupid ones but that I felt compelled to ask. I never got that chance. Ask stupid questions while you can.
