I was in two of those and they were fun to participate in, but the end result wasn't really all that great. =P

I don't really mind the collabs being in the forum so much, it's their unoriginalty that bothers me. It's like people hear a song or whatever and that's all there is to it, they start a collab without expanding on what a collab can be or what they want out of the pieces. I wish people would put more forethought into their collab ideas, rather than just cranking them out. I guess it's just me... I want to see better collabs I guess, not necessarily fewer collabs. I guess it doesn't really matter though, let them have their fun. =]

Carnage is a mix of spiderman and venom (at least through the ultimate comics...) so hes got all their powers (which are basically the same anyways) and he looks cooler. And number Spiderman four might not have Tobey Mcguire or Kirsten Dunst, they both singed a 3 movie deal and both might be walking after this one, even though they are terrible actors and their only success was spiderman.

Carnage is a spawn of Venom, but has absolutely nothing to do with Spiderman AT ALL.

It's just a slightly more evolved version of Venom, similar to Poison, who is even more bad ass than Carnage and Venom combined.

As far as the actors go, I know Toby is out because he had back problems during 3.

Ok heres my opinion,
Speaking as a mod from NGC and Radioactive may back me up on this as well,

Since people can go to NGC if they don't have a high enough batting average, then the admins might as well raise the requirement to 4. That would surely cut down the amount of collabs because people would be forced to go to NGC and that might turn people away from making collabs.

That would also mean that collabs at Newgrounds are intense.
I don't know, but I agree, there are WAY too many crap collabs.
And some of them get good scores because they are collabs.
And I am in too many collabs.

Idk, collabs are alright i guess, but just not in such a high quantity. It seems like a cop out. In my eyes it's better to actually get things started on your own, gain your own respect, and when you have a decent basis established, then you can go ahead and do a collab. People are supposed to be excited about collabs "omg squeezy and luis are doing a collab!!" because you expect high quality work. Collabs now are more like "sonic_master and goku1169 are doing a collab!! Let me IM Lord_Sonx for the Blam."

Back in the days when there were a high frequency of kids needing help that was when we all had fun, Inglor, Schorhr, swirling_venom, otacon, cook, denvish, myself, and a whole bunch of other users. It was just entertaining, like an RPG, and each user brought their own unique monster of a quenstion. It was our own, nerdy, flash/actionscript MMO.... lol

I read that Dr. Lizard was supposed to be the villian on number 3, then they decided to change for that sandman and venom, and that some guy who was making the movie hated venom....where did they took the Sandman from anyway? as far as i know it wasn't an spiderman character, they could have used the waterman if they wanted a character like that, or follow the cartoon and use Rhino (i have never read the comics, I watched the cartoon)... The movie dissapointed me, it had too much drama and not enough action, venom is my favorite spiderman villian and he didnt even show his toungue, >:( I also like the vampire a lot...

I definitely think they should've stayed with the Lizard for number 3 and just followed Spidey 2's successful formula of tracking one villain all the way through - Lizard would've been great for that seeing as he has a great background. Just thought I'd gloat and vent a bit at the same time to some fellows...

I am now 110 credits into my Bachelors in "Game Software Development"

I just got finished my first directx9 class....I've finished several C and C++ classes and was FINALLY able to make a fucking game after 3 years of school.

Anyhow... this term is the one I've been waiting for.

Our final is a fully functioning, ONLINE MULTIPLAYER FPS. w00t! I only have nine weeks to complete it and start next wednesday.

Wish me luck!

Its a fucking 9 credit course, so I need to kick its ass.

Should graduate by September/December or so.

*SPOILERS*

If you really consider it, all of the Spiderman villians weren't trully evil. The Green Goblin was psychotic, but you good see the good in him, especially when he told spiderman he didn't want him to tell his son. As well, in part 2 when Doc Ock saved the day pretty much. And then again in part 3 where sandman flew away and Venom was just an alien. So, in the end, all the villians/heros are really that way because of circumstance, so really, spider appeals to the inner human, rather than arch villians and all that typical super hero stuff. Spiderman sets it on a human level. Especially with all the romance.

I started my degree 05 and i'm still about a year or so away from my Associates. Just can't seem to get outta bed. I'm doing a computer science degree though rather than strictly game programming, because as it is I'm probably going to start a web development company for small businesses. I do applaud you because I especially know how hard it is to get shit done in college, especially since getting drunk was invented.

I'm not frustrated. It's just kind of a bummer - I think it's harder to build a name as an animator than as a programmer. And I don't get why, since there are certainly more animators than programmers around. Oh wells, can't fight what's already fact. I'll just keep releasing games and people will get to know me eventually.
