That comment was done right amazing. I would've said the same thing if I had a chance. I missed the whole flame war and didn't get to school anyone, sad really. Hearing Toast's life story was actually somewhat interesting though.
Half Life 2
I got the game Tuesday and I just beat it. Its amazing how its got better graphics then 90% of games considering it came out 5 years ago. I wonder if now that there are a two high end gaming platforms if we will see an increase in the quality of graphics in most games. I mean, I was watching my friend play Fear and I can't help but wonder how much better can things get. In all honesty, the character models still seem a bit awkward. Like backgrounds and environments seem damn near photo realistic yet character models still look blotchy and somewhat oddly shaped.

Heh, just a sneak peek at what I've been working on, and also, just wondering if anyone lags.
Yeah there was a tad but nothing to much. Looking NICE so far.
Not much more to say than that, buh-bye Snox.

Now I glance mochi's stuff once and a while, is it really useful? Like should I download their mochi tracker or whatever it is? And do we all have to quit ng to be cool in this new fad thanx to snox? Also I got Elebits for my wii, I like it better then Red Steel only because of the whole glitchless idea.
Bye Sonx

People keep leaving.
Oh yeah, I forgot there was a real world for a second...

Please don't quote the first post of a page if you know there are more than a couple pages... it's kind of newbish.
Also, we have to use these nifty bold RE: Blahblahblah tags in this topic, so if you start a new one embold the title.

I rarly visit these flash forums anymore but now when I saw Lord-Sonx posting his good bye I was wondering. How many flash regs from the 2005 collab year are left? (excluding me due to my inactivity)
People who have gone/are still about

Not alot, people are slowly dropping off and it's annoying. Some peeps who are missing :
Frosted muffins, Authorblues, Inglor, Liam, RBC, GuntherSwanh, BMK, Shazwoogle, JPI, Denvish(bar the recent return), Neg; Glaiel's posting less. There's alot more of course.
Shit that feels like loads of people, well it is.

No. Half Life 1 was released 9 years ago. Half Life 2 was released in 2004...a little over 2 years ago, but the graphics for the game would have to have come before that. I mean generally, its the coding that will slow down the release of a game. So I may have been off by a few years but still.

I bought the game off steam a few weeks back, installed but only played until i got taken to the interogation room, is it worth playing?
Of course. I am a dolt for not playing it sooner, not that I had a choice with my old computer. Its a great game.

Gah, AB and Neg are still here for the most part. But some people you forgot that I've noticed are Johnny and Blaze.

Ah yeah. Well, Neg/AB aren't here how they used to be.
For better or for worse?
I say worse unfortunatly.
People Missing
It happens. It's hard, people have jobs they need to do, or need to get a lot of work done for school. Others lose interest, and others get annoyed by the n00b rush during the Summer. Any way it happens, it's sad when people leave.
Hi there!

Heh, that kind of reminded me of the Beatles song "In My Life"
People Gone and ...
The reason we dont see much flash regs is that there are heavy projects in flash that take a lot of time, especially in the new crap flash 8 brought (good stuff along with crashitty crash.) The bars have been raised, and longer and longer animations take. It's just the way of the NGWorld.
RE: NGTV
Who would think NGTV is a good idea?
Re: NG TV
Better a show than a channel. It's hard to fill 24 hours of content, even with the amount of Flash content out there.

Yep I know. Not looking for a reason just wondering who. It's quite intresting when you see the cycle and how people come and go, would make a good bar chart or something.
NG tv
Not enough good content, to be blunt.
It's not so much that moreso that there's no need for it. Or first, what is it? Are you (hypothetically) proposing a NG TV channel? Or some sort of streamed web TV thing?
It's not neccesary, that would be the key problem(from what i'm imagining). Why would people watch it when they could just find them themselves? Why waste all that time and effort of setting it up or whatever.
Although, this sorta ties in with something i've been thinking about recently. There are alot of sites out there that let you watch vids of whatever whenever. TV shows, films.. porn etc. But rather than sit and watch something I want to watch i'll just stick the telly on in the background, why? I think it's down to TV just being something to fulfill boredom.. you don't want to put effort into it, it's there so whatever, put it on.
RE: NGTV
Ok, ok. Now I see it was a bad idea. Let's pretend the thought never existed.
RE: People missing
I have been gone alot due to school and getting my Wii a few days ago. But i dont think people notice much, dont help as much as i used to. Other things need to get done. oh wells. Im gone to play Wii.

RE: People missing
People just leave a lot. Usually to go to college or get a real life (lol). But a lot of the time its because they just get bored. The Flash Forum is pretty dull at the moment. These aren't our golden years.
RE: People Missing
I didn't leave the bbs, just the flash forum. I have ventured into the wonderful world programming and I have seen the light. The programming forum is nice. :)
I bet you didn't even notice/care that i left. ;)
Tom's PM
Tom Fulp just replied to a PM I sent him a few days ago. It was basically suggesting having Flash authors pay to advertise their site or work to replace the current ads. Heres the PM as follows.
At 1/27/07 12:45 AM, TomFulp wrote: I'm always tempted to try stuff like this, although I would feel guilty charging users to promte their work... But I suppose it's the only way to do it if I'm gonna replace existing ads. There are currently some options with stuff like Adbrite ads on the site, but as we get our ad server in better shape, maybe we can give this a shot. :)
