Well the dude at Gamestop said it's a waste of money and told me to get a Xbox 360, I'm like..pssh no. :D

Is it not a bit of a pain having to work on such a small space? Or what's the quick fix to this, are you constantly scrolling around the screen or what?

I don't know how a tablet works, can you use it to navigate all around the screen or just in flash for the drawing aspect? Do you have to install any special shit from flashes point of view?

When i got mine i didn't have to install anything, i just plugged and played. It works as a cursor as well. So the bottom right corner fo your tablet would be start, and the top right would be 'X'.

In flash you can add pressure sensitive features and a thing that detects the angle so you can customize your brush strokes allot more.

I'd recommend a Wacom Graphire, they cost around £30-70 new and are very good. Mine even came with corel painter, which is also awesome.

No, the tablet doesn't work exactly like a mouse, it works more like a computer with a touch screen, wherever you touch the tablet pen is where your mouse appears.

You can navigate anything, if you fancy, you could play games with it.

You should probably install the drivers the tablet comes with. It should be plug and play but you'll get better use out of it by installing the drivers.

The tablet i own is small and therefore i never use it. The tablet detects the pen about 1cm above it and any movement detected moves the cursor. Which i never got used to cause it kept loosing the signal (in mine anway) cause i went to high above the pad. Drawing you just put pressure down on the tablet. From my experiences i would advise getting at least an A5 pad.

i think on firefox it's shift-refresh. maybe control-shift i dunno.

and as for the tablet..

i have a 4x5 graphire3 by wacom. i like it, but i should have waited a while longer, saved up, and gotten a bigger one. this one was sort of a waste of money, considering how small my drawing area is.

however, i do like it. it can work like a cursor or a screen; with my drivers came this thing that lets me customize how the pointer works with the pen: there's a pen mode, which makes it so that wherever you point, it corresponds with the screen position. for example, if your cursor is at the bottom and you tap at thje top, it appears there.
the other mode is mouse mode, which basically is like a mouse. you have to drag; tapping into other positions doesn't work.

Why do we need to close stuff, like we stopped with the isketch via the thread and now video games. Wasn't this thread made to not quite follow rules, just a place for talking about whatever, not having to be flash. When the topic is exhausted, people will stop talking about it.

well, i think you need to work on storylines. i mean, if people have to contact you in order to understand what happened, then it failed at any kind of competance. but, i did find it very interesting, some of those little random things were kinda funny. good luck with future projects man, this turned out good.

You're partly right, but when non-flash topics carry on for like 20+ pages of debate, then it means its time to head over to general to continue that discussion. Besides what makes it problematic is that theres people who are actually trying to squeeze in their flash related questions and they get bumped 20 pages back because we're here arguing over why the wii is better than whatever. A perfect case would be Mogly's inquiries on tablets and what other regs with tabs have thought about them. Thats a legit question/inquiry that should have more authority than one about what you had for dinner, or how you waited 20 hours in line for a ps3. Ya dig?

I just went to add the newgrounds preloader to one of my movies im making, and have been for the past 4 days, is there any other ones. The one I cloicked on is so plain, it looks cool, but a bit of movement.

Anyone know of any FLA libraries with an updated newgrounds preloader in it, if ya do, please link me up soon :)
