Alright, buys some cred in my books as well. I wouldn't withdraw my general opinions about open source Flash engines, but the project doesn't so much seem like a money-grab. Agreed. Was expecting a dumb parody, but it was hilarious and really well-animated if you look beyond the sketchy style. Couldn't help but check out his youtube stuff.

so after over a year's hiatus from flash, i decided to pick up again and try to make a game using whatever art skills I've acquired in that time. last night i stayed up until the sun started to rise working on this. it felt good to be "in the zone", working on something again.
unfortunately, while my art skills improved, my coding skills generally stayed the same. haha. Hopefully that doesn't ruin the game :\

Attached is a screen shot, just to tease you. It looks pretty sexy in motion, if I do say so myself, because every single element moves at a different rate depending on its position from the "camera". (far elements move slow). I also taught myself how to do particle effects to get the smoke looking nice (i was so proud of myself haha). I can't say for sure when this will be finished, but at the rate I've been working on it, it shouldn't be TOO long.

Hey man welcome back, I haven't seen you in ages! It's great to see you're coming back to flash, I myself haven't really worked on anything since our last game. That screenshot looks sweet by the way, I hope it's as good in motion as it is in the screenshot. Post some more links of it :)

Spanish != Mexicans
Seriously get it right people. I lived in Spain for 6 years, and now that I'm living in the US (Texas to be more exact) I can tell you that the only relation Spanish people and Mexican people have is the language. And even that is VERY far off. I cannot understand he spanish mexicans speak, but I can understand and speak the "real" Spanish :P

University
Had a meeting, found out well over half the courses I want aren't taught around my parts, stuck to taking lil' low level introductory courses to this and that until I have enouph credits for a higher level course, and my dreams of being a filmmaker/director are crushed. I'll be taking philosophy, maybe music (if room), and maybe political science... hopefully.

PS3 and Warhawk
I finally played Warhawk on my PS3 for the first time after Darryl bought it the month it came out. It's fun, but I get bored easily I guess. :P I'm lovin' the trophy thing and the new line up for summer games. I'm trying to get my hands on Overlord: Raising Hell - such a great concept for a game. ^^

Their's a book I wanna buy, along with a certaint stuffed pink animal, and an air freshener. Summer heat is more like summer stink right now. :S
