I don't really like them. I'm more into the original Nu-Metal bands (feel old saying that) like Static X, Korn and System of a Down. Guess I'm abit of a stick in the mud guy, Don't think my music taste will change that much now been the same for about half my life. Long live Nu-Metal.

I like everything that is metal, one question why the fuck are metalheads arguing over bands? cant we all enjoy the metal despite what type of metal it is?

It's not about what genre of the metal it is. It's about if it's metal or not. "Core" and Nu-Metal are not legitimate metal genres.

Avenged Sevenfold and BFMV are Metalcore bands. Well... BFMV is at least. Avenged Sevenfold used to be somewhat Metalcore... but now they just play around hard rock, nu-metal, pop and other shits like that...

Old Linkin Park? But what's wrong with their new stuff?

Old Likin Park is easily twenty times better then their new stuff. I can't stand the new stuff, its too soft and winey or my liking. Also were did they get the whole "we love Transformers" thing from? I can understand that one of the members might like the old cartoon series or have the toys or something but Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson has Transformer tattoos on his hands. Slipknot would have done a much better song in my opinion.

I think the older stuff by Linkin Park was better cause it was original and unique. Mike Shinoda knows how to rap and his parts were really important in making Linkin Park so good and so unique back when Hybrid Theory came out. Linkin Park without his great flows is really just not the same. It just sounds like generic Nu-Metal to me. And that is to an extent, now they just sound like a generic alternative rock band to me, but with some hardcore vocalist shouting over the music.

Old Linkin Park is just better. Hybrid Theory is a great album, even now it's a fantastic listen, and not many Nu-Metal bands have aged well beyond the novelty faction.
I've not really listen to new LP - or old LP besides Hybrid Theory - but I saw them live a couple of years ago and the only songs that were good was the HT and other songs like Numb.

I have to say Mudvayne's White Album is fantastic. They have so many great songs on that Album. They also went back to some of the Old School Mudvayne shit like the ambient noises and the blending songs together.

Meteora was an ok album. Nothing compared to Hybrid Theory.

I never listened to it, but thats the album Numb comes from (I think), so I imagine it's pretty good. If I listened to it now it wouldn't have the same impact if I had 10 years ago.

Fuck I'm old :(.

It lacks the energy of Meteora. The general feeling is not the same. Chester takes more place on this one than Shinoda. Shinoda's role is very different also. While his rap sections on Hybrid Theory were more important in the build-up of the song, on Meteora, he comes out for the chorus and rarely for verses.

I loved Shinoda's work and I think that it's sad that he doesn't rap as often in their latest work.

They just sound like a large majority of those metalcore bands that switch between scream and clean vocals, with typical riffs, sound structure, pace, tempo... Everything is just so generic...

I liked Breaking the Habit on that album

It's still one of the only Linkin Park songs I enjoy regularly and unconditionally

Is it really that good? I stopped listening to Mudvayne after they made The New Game. That disappointed me.

I saw All That Remains twice. The second time I saw them, they were... horrible. But the first gig was fucking great! I saw them live with Five Finger Death Punch... which is a terrible band... and with Gojira, which is fucking awesome :) And In Flames... They made a lot of good music back in the 90's, but now they suck!

Disturbed must be great live :)

Disturbed puts on one hell of a Show. It was the Final band and they closed that show HARD as fuck, I KO'ed 2 cocksuckers in the span of 3 songs. One was a Drunk that was literally punching everyone around him so I subdued his with vigor then surfed his ass the fuck out of the crowd. The other had beef with my bro for some reason. So when he stepped up behind my bro to take a cheap shot when he was watching the show I delivers a nice little 3 shot combo and sat him straight on his ass. Other than those two instances the whole day at Rockfest went awesome and smooth.

ATR was fucking great at Rockfest very brutal Moshpit we had going. Its funny you bring up In Flames because they are coming to town and I was saying to my buddy that they suck now but there early shit was beasty. :P
