Too cheap for an account. Anywho, I figured a thread devoted to a guitar heavy form of music might have a heady stream of guitarists, along with the guitarists thread, the metal hell, and the black metal grimclub.

Fair enough..

Anyway, back on topic, what has you people been listening to lately? For me it's mostly Slipknot and Murderdolls.

Sikth would be 100x better if the large majority of their vocals weren't a blatant joke :P

Response to Nu-Metal/Metalcore Crew Jun 7, 2006

Sikth are ok, I only have a few songs by them but in one song its like heavy and screamy, and in the next its soft and, errm, speaky?

I dun get it :S

Coming from the grindcore guitarist in the rainbow sock and the shirt and tie :P.

I wouldn't call them a joke anyway. They just have a sense of humour.
Hence the 'Weirdcore' title they're given.

Vaarrrsatility :P.
They're an odd band but why should that mean they aren't good?

That's ok though, because Blowtorch Abortion is a joke band.

Sikth are awesome musicians and they ruin it with weak vocals.

At least I'm not ruining anything :P.

I'm not saying they are bad, I like them, don't get me wrong. Just that I only like certain songs by them.

I don't care what genre of music the band is, I listen to them, then if I decide I like them I find what genre they are, then find bands with the same genre, because there is a very high chance I will like them too. And i'm getting big vibes of daijavooh here.

It is rather slow in here, but I think compared to other forms of metal on newgrounds, nu-metal is a bit of a niche' :P

Having said that, I should probably check in here more often too.

I checked out the band Satyricon today, I saw the Now, Diabolical album in the store I usually buy my music (which is crap but as good as it gets in my small town) and they seem good.
What do the rest of you think of them?

Hey, I know this isn't really on topic... but you asked for metal instrumentals in the Hell.
I posted some - in case you weren't aware.

I'm not big on Metalcore so I can't really help in terms of instrumental metalcore.
But yeah, just thought I'd let you know.

In terms of the overall Metalcore topic I've been listening to a lot of Tool lately. Although I considering them Prog Rock they do have nu metal elements to the music.
They're beautiful :D. Maynards voice is sublime.

*bump* I was sent from metal hell to this thread cause I like numetal and wasn't welcome there, but now there's like no one posting here... seriously, what the hell?
