holy crap, that's one of my favourite bands... get some of their new albums, it's better than their old grind stuff

I recently checked 'em out, just 11 random downloads they seem pretty good, kinda grind and death metal I dunno exactly. LimeWire doesn't have much of them :P
I only buy CD's if I like the band, like mainly my fav's.

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

there are some pretty good torrents out there too. And if you can find the right hubs on DC++ you can find a lot of them as well.
So if you like the band, I strongly recommend you buy their shit, bands deserve that ;)

Whats new in the Metalcore world?

Would it be ok if i ask you all for a little help?

Heres the story behind it all: My friend wants to be a movie producer/ director/ editor when he grows up... And he's like serious about it, like he knows what colleges he wants to go to and everything he needs to do to get into those colleges (and hes only a sophmore in High School)... So he was writing his big movie (the reason he wants to become what he wants to be) and realized that he really needs to get some movies under his belt before working on his huge movie... He asked me for some help, and right now im going through a mega horror movie phase and decided it would be pretty cool if we made a horror movie...

Heres where i'd like to ask for some help... After checking out some Horror Movie soundtracks i realized they are all pretty much instrumental (like classical), Metalcore, and Metal... Theres a chance i might need some more songs than i already have... So does anybody know any really Metalcore Metalcore? I'm thinking along the lines of As I Lay Dying, It Dies Today, Atreyu, and August Burns Red...

Thanks nightmareLeecher for the sig.

Hi everyone. I've been busy with school, moviemaking and my band.

About my band...

Misguided , as we're called, had it's second gig yesterday! We played a 12-song-set in a school event and I can guarantee it was something never done there before. ^^

We covered the following songs:

Rush - A Passage To Bangkok
Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers
Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water
Deep Purple - Black Night
Opeth - In My Time Of Need
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Metallica - Orion
Disturbed - Awaken
Disturbed - Voices
Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes
Porcupine Tree - Open Car
Breaking Benjamin - So Cold

It was the longest show I've ever done and I sure felt it afterwards too! The audience said we should do some more Disturbed.

Also, I happened to find the "Disturbed M.O.L."- DVD in a Swedish webstore for €10! I had always wanted to learn more about my all-time favourite band and I can't say I'm disappointed. The only drawback is the disc is in NTSC- format and my PS2 is PAL, so it only plays in black and white. I had to watch the film at school.

Can I join? I spose I like this kind of music maybe, since i'm shady on the whole what Nu-Metal/Metalcore is, but there is some bands being mentioned of which I listen to.

Bands I like:

Slipknot
FearFactory
KoRn
Nile
Lamb of God
Avenged Sevenfold
The Black Dahlia Murder
Byzantine
Chimaira
DevilDriver
Hatebreed
Metallica
SOAD
Pantera

Trivium

If that's the right type of music, may I join?

I think they're a great band with a lot of talent. However, their music is the prime example of the stuff I hate. I can't sit through a single one of their songs, I hate them like poison.

I like them a lot. And I bought My Arms, Your Hearse... and I admit its a boring album. Good, but boring. Its far to enduring and not a lot really happens. The songs merge together. However Demon on the Fall and Circle of the Tyrant are brilliant songs.

Although, other songs of theirs which I have downloaded I find thoroughly enjoyable. So I'll have to pick up an album which isn't a concept one.

All the Disturbed you possibly can, and as for Nu-metal, Linkin Park maybe... And, well... System Of A Down's older stuff might suite your taste too, although they're not really nu-metal... Also, try out Soilwork.

You guys ever heard SikTh?
You should check them out if not.

I was listening to their new album today and it sounds sooo much like Necrophagist, just with different vocals.

Arn't Linkin PArk more rapcore? - They used to be my favourite band but then I started to get into heavier stuff and i'm now a very big hater of rap music, and aspecially since they did the stuff with Jay-Z, that put me off them alot!
