That list is starting to look pretty nice... I'd check out Atreyu and August Burns Red, you might like them...

So in about a month im gonna go to this tour: SOUNDS OF THE UNDERGROUND featuring As I Lay Dying • In Flames • Trivium • GWAR • Cannibal Corpse • Terror • Black Dahlia Murder • Behemoth • The Chariot • Evergreen Terrorist • Through the Eyes of The Dead

I don't think one can really go wrong with any of those bands... Im really looking forward to As I Lay Dying, In Flames, Trivium, and GWAR... I've seen GWAR before and it was one of the best live shows i've ever been too... They are an incredible live band, but a little creepy...

Thanks nightmareLeecher for the sig.

I'm also attending that show, Lambo. I'm especially excited to see Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, and GWAR.

My favorite Nu-Metal band of all time, Korn.

Other Nu-Metal bands I enjoy are Slipknot, System Of A Down (if they're considerd that), Kittie, and Mudvayne.

Metalcore bands that I like are Between The Buried And Me, Atreyu, Killswitch Engage...eh..to many to list.

Death Metal I enjoy/love. Opeth, Suffocation, Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder (If anyone considers them DeathMetal but I suppose they are), and some Morbid Angel.

I'd definitely go as far as saying that TBDM aren't metalcore. They're missing alot of the key elements, like the moshy chugga-chugg breakdowns for instance. I think their roots would definitely lay in melodic death metal.

Anyhows, great list, welcome :)

Thanks.

I suppose they are medolic death metal.

Anywho thanks again for allowing me to join.

Korn's what introduced me to metal (or one of it's many forms...)
And introduced me to good music in the first place. So I always wanted to join a group without ignorant "Nu-MEDALZZZ, SUXORZ!!!1!! N()7 7|20o. |/\/\m0R7@L 1s D@|-| tr00 m3dAlZ!!11!!!"

Anywho, on to what the dude above me said. I didn't know As I Lay Dying had came out with a CD of their first recordings...thanks for the info.

does anyone know how expensive it is to go to grasspop mm want to go to with some mateys

Response to Nu-Metal/Metalcore Crew 2006-05-22 22:05:53

$40 to see KoRn seems pretty cheap to me.

Tickets to see bands like Nile, Behemoth, Hate Eternal etc over here are usually $35-$40.

Response to Nu-Metal/Metalcore Crew 2006-05-23 19:21:26

Hey, Dark-Tech, you should stop by the Guitarists crew If you haven't already.

Anyone here into Shinedown? A friend of mine got me both their cd's, pretty awesome Nu-Metal.

holy crap, I'm going to see Strapping Young Land and it's only 16 euros. Actually all metal shows are here, except the big ones like Maiden or Metallica.

Netherlands ftw

Netherlands ftw

1 Euro ~ $2.50 AUD

So by that token, 16 Euros equals around $40 australian :P

rammstein

I prefer Megadeth at the moment.

Never listened, I'll have to check them out.

system of a down

BUM THEM!

fear factory

Well whether a band is big or not doesn't determine whether I listen. Since the only music I listen to is that I've downloaded or bought, as I can't listen to like online radios due to my shit internet connection. And cause I've not bought or downloaded I've not heard :P.
