I don't think any of those bands really classify as Nu-Metal or Metalcore... I'm pretty sure you can join though... Feel free to post untill you are offically let in by one of the leaders of the crew...

Thanks nightmareLeecher for the sig.

Maybe not that good, still fairly decent.

mudvayne

Very good band.

slipknot

Good band, they've gotten worse recently.

newer Killswitch engage

Yep

disturbed

Not too keen, not bad.

godsmack

Never heard.

soad

I love them.... amazing!

breaking benjamin

I'm not a fan, but I can see why people like it.

mudvayne

Like 'em, but I cant listen to their album on repeat if you get me.

slipknot

I like some of it, but I hate the way every other kid a few years back had a Slipknot hoodie. Ah well, now they all wear HIM hoodies. I swear I want to eat HIS eyeballs.

newer Killswitch engage

Like it

disturbed

I'd heard of these, but not listened to thier music till you mentuioned it. Again, I can see why people would like it, but it isn't for me.

godsmack

A bit lacking. Basic almost. Just doesn't jump out and say 'great' to me.

soad

Unlike anything else on the planet. 100% fact. And their latest albums are slightly more insane, so an extra thuimbs up. Anyone who doesn't like System hasn't heard it.

breaking benjamin

Never heard of these till you mentioned them, but I'm not that impressed by what I'm listening to. Very new metal, but not for me.

staind

Haven't heard to alot of it, but it's not bad. Could be so much nastier though ^^

linkin park

Meh, emo screamo done badly in my opinion, and the album remixed with Jay Z was utter pap.

incubus

I like these, great for relaxing to but not a regular on my playlist.

crossfade

The only song I own by these is far too flowery and nice, so I don't think I've heard enough to slate or rate them.

chevelle

Again, this sounds like some one trying to be big with the public, nicey nicey. In my opinion it ain't a bad effort, but it's not for me.

limp bizikit (older music)

I always hated limp bizkit. Always. Unfortunately that means I can't form an unbiased opinion on them, so meh.

shinedown

Very... umm, stuff. Can't really put my finger on that but it almost reminds me of square dancing!

avenged seven fold

Again, very 'nice'.

I'd tell you some more bands like you already have, but I honestly don't own music like that, I'm going from streams of albums I found after reading your list!

From that list you sound like you like your Nu-metal, if I may make a suggestion, try litening to a bit of Underoath and The Odd Project. These guys are very screamy, but nice enough for you to really get into.
Also a Circle takes the Square are both screamo and ridiculously emmersive at the same time (expect a flash on 'interview at the ruins' when I finally get around to finishing the bloody thing off).
Also, Walls of Jehricho (ish) and The Blood Brothers may be up your street. Remember, you don't know how much you like it till you've heard it ^^

As for you fgt, I thought you were already part of the crew?

well, breaking benjamin & staind r in my top 10 favorite bands. older staind kicks way more ass( like dysfunction and break the cycle.)

I have never heard of any of those bands you have listed. I usually just dont go out and buy cd's because someone recommends it. I only would buy a cd if i heard a couple songs that i really like, or its a cd of a band that i really like that i dont have yet. Idk if those bands r underground, or just dont release singles, but i probably wont be checking them out unless i get some free downloads.

You should get into myspace man. Heaps of awesome Metalcore bands with free tracks.

Jobforacowboy are always a good place to start. They're pretty much a staple in the myspace metalcore diet :D

OK, no probs. They aren't metal core in the slightest (before someone point that out :P) but I really have no music like that you listed to recommend.
Also I totally understand you not buying cd's on recommendation, I've got a few howlers because of doing that!
Oh, and I wan't having a go at any of the bands on your list. I like alot of music, but I respect the fact that others will like different things to me, and will not like the stuff I listen to. ^^

Ahh, its been a while since i've posted... Yesterday I was at Barnes and Nobles and was planning on buying the new Atreyu cd but it was a little pricey for only 9 tracks... I went with some ska instead (i'll get the Atreyu soon)... Has anyone checked out August Burns Red? I've posted them soo many times without a response...

I fell out with Atreyu, they're a little repetative for my liking (but I've only heard a few from one album so don't take that as a definitive opinion)... some very good songs though.

I'm having a listen as I type, and I can say me likey! Agressive (or however the hell you spell aggressive, I'm a lil' drunk atm) not too technical but we can overlook that, and the breakdowns are a tinsy bit too much, but again who cares.
I'll come back tommorrow when I've sobered a little and give you a proper view, but as of right now I like it ^_^

Ooh, and as a side note, I came across Manhattan Project in my playlist today, wondered what response they would get in here. More screamo than metal core, but still worth a listen.

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Very nice list, sir. As I lay dying, A life once lost, Damage plan and BTBAM are some of my top bands, and I do enjoy a bit of bleeding through on occaision. I'll go raid my local record store and throw an opinon down on the others.

I fell out with kerrang a loooong time ago when they interviewed the lead singer to Pig Destroyer, then threw away his intelligent answers and wrote their own, making him look like a complete arse (story may not be 100% accurate, I know it was a metal/grind core band and some shitty mag).
AND, they have the balls to say GreenDay are the best band on the planet several years running. What more can I say?

Ditto, I fell out with them due to their 100 Top Gigs Ever. It was a disgrace. Green Day at Milton Keynes were 1.... MCR were 3! Led Zeppelin, The Who, Hendrix, Woodstock.... not even in the top ten. The only decent gig in the top ten was Metallica's S&M.

AND, they have the balls to say GreenDay are the best band on the planet several years running. What more can I say?

Exactly. Kerrang started as a metal mag and its gone so gay over years. Coinsedentally so have Green Day :S.
