Now I did my research before I jumped to the conclusion that he reivewed zero in order to gain himself an award. It is blindingly obvious that he infact IS NOT INNOCENT. It is also obvious that the VGDC forums DO MASS VOTE, and MASS REVIEW THEIR CRAPPY SPRITES. Yet I never see complaints for them, as their account names dont end in "lock" or "star"

When I make a film, I post it on the Lockleigon / Clockcrew/ Star Syndicate Forums. The users of the forums are there to vote as THEY WISH. Mass voting and voting 10 just for the sake of it is DISCORUAGED. But people do it anyways. Just like If I show my best friends my movie, they are inclined to support me.

Now I have seen Knox and Illwillpress steal more awards then the SS, CC, LL VGDC and GG combined. Yet they are never bitched at, because they dont all belong to a tight group.

The new rule about Mass voting is fair, I personally hate it. But I also hate overrated shit being voted 5 by fanboys, just for the sake of who the author is.

In conclusion I say.

Wade do some research before you go making accusations. I didnt just randomly review zero because I wanted some shitty Star Syndicate collab to win some shitty award. I reviewed zero because that asshole decided that he could rig the portal to steal himself a review crew.

But in all seriousness, is it a crime if I voted 5/reviewed 10 on this account, and this account only (as I don't believe in using alts to alter a review score) because I was a member in making it? Should I vote a 6/10 because that's what you want me to do? I mean, is it that I can't vote 10 on a movie because I participated in this, or because a friend participated in it and I want to help them out?

Also, last time I checked, plenty of people have their friends vote 5/review 10 on movies all the time, members of groups or not. I recently got an IM from another NG member (who has no affiliation to any group that I know of) who asked me to vote 5 on his movie. Was this a crime that I voted 5 because he was a friend instead of the quality of the movie? If so, many, many people are breaking this rule, and most of the people posting in this thread, agreeing with what you're saying are hypocrites.

It's part of the newgrounds culture, it always has been. People, new or experienced users, are always voting like that, look through any thing. And another thing is that 0 votes on popular movies are almost always marked abusive and removed, because that's another part of the culture (and relatively flawed system of flagging).

However, although he is most likely aware that this is happening, he singles out groups that he doesn't like.

It just means that Wade is trying to alter the rules only because of groups that HE doesn't think of as "up to par", not because it will help the system. He probably wont' even deal any punishment to anyone who doesn't have affiliation with these groups, though he will claim that he is so he can get a hundred thousand more cluelessNG users to continue sucking his dick.

Maybe if you hadn't fucked about with the portal massively previously, people wouldn't automatically zero your entry. To be perfectly honest, a large amount of turds/underdogs/RCP's have come from flash groups post Clock Crew/Lock Legion, i.e. SS/GG/other lame gimmick groups. First impressions count for a lot. I don't give a shit whether the SS claim they've have cleaned up their act now. They've messed about with the portal so much they should all have been deleted a long time ago. If you've got a genuinely good entry now that deserves a good score, that's too bad. You ought to have thought about that before you got a bad reputation.

For the record, I've not seen the entry in question, nor do I want to bother doing so. I doubt I'll watch another RCP/underdog/turd, as they've all been fixed by review/vote stuffing for a long time. I can't recall the last one that was won legitimately.
